The sable seem quite at home at our Simalaha camp these past few weeks. 🖤

There’s something rather magical about sharing camp with wildlife! What a privilege. ✨

Bupilo butata. Life is hard.

In the Lozi homesteads scattered across Simalaha, that’s not a complaint — it’s a fact, faced daily and quietly overcome. This is the land our rides move through: home to people and wildlife sharing one horizon. 🤍 🦓

“I had an indescribably wonderful time in Zambia with so many amazing experiences. Doug, Gail and their team are wonderful hosts and make every wish come true. You feel very welcome and as if you’re part of a small family.
The horses are absolutely gorgeous and a joy to ride. It’s also really nice that they’re free to roam as a herd within the camp, so you can spend time with them even when you’re not riding.
We were very lucky with our wildlife sightings. We saw lots of giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, buffalo and a wide variety of antelope and bird from horseback.
The landscape is surprisingly diverse and galloping through the tall grass was a particularly amazing experience. The fact that you can ride side by side at all gaits is also a wonderful experience. The horses are very fast, yet still easy to control.

The food and accommodations are also wonderful. They cater to a wide range of needs, and the homemade ice cream and desserts are especially delicious.
The lodge is a little paradise with beautiful rooms, all of which are lovingly decorated. The safari tents at the camp are also very nice and comfortable. I slept soundly everywhere, accompanied by the sounds of various animals.
We went on several boat tours and saw many crocodiles and a few hippos. For me, as a huge hippo fan, this was of course especially wonderful.
Time flew by way too quickly, and I would have loved to stay longer. As always, everything was perfectly organized, and I’m already looking forward to my next trip.”

Thank you so much to this lovely guest for your wonderful review with PFERDESAFARI - reitsafaris 🌍 - it was a pleasure to host you! 💚
