This horse😍 from off the track to a special show jumper.

This is Meagan's very special boy Rocky Marciano that she has produced from straight off the track to this 🤩 not only can he jump he is doing elementary dressage at home with ease good flat work makes jumping so easy.

So excited to see what the future holds for these two and hopefully to be seen jumping open soon 👀🤩.

INFORMATION from Equestrian Biomechanics:

Hands up if you love poles & cavaletti work 🙋🏼‍♀️

➡️ [Save this post for your next pole/cavaletti ride!]

It's important to place your poles and cavalettis at the appropriate distance by considering the gait you wish to ride and the length of your horse's stride.

The recommended distances are:
👉🏼 WALK: place poles approximately 85cm apart
👉🏼 TROT: place poles approximately 1.25m apart
👉🏼 CANTER: place poles approximately 3m apart

The above information/image is a general guide. You must also take into consideration your horse's stride length. The best way to do this is to ride over 2 consecutive poles at the suggested distance for the gait you wish to ride. If your horse maintains rhythm the distance is likely correct. Then gradually add one pole at a time whilst re-assessing your horse's rhythm over the poles. Having some 'eyes on the ground' or videoing yourself can also be helpful in finding comfortable distances. By adjusting the poles slightly further apart or closer together than your horse's natural stride length, you can help your horse find a longer or shorter stride.

Results for the show at Country Ranch stable yard

🦄Llewelyn & Canterwood's Rio having to poles in the 50cm this was Rio's first outing show so we are so proud.
🐴Llewelyn & Rocky Marciano having good clear it was Llewelyn's first 80cm and he didn't get to walk the course so proud of them and he rode a tricky horse like a star.

🦄Danielle & Canterwood's Rio getting a first in the poles on the ground 🥇and getting a third place in the 40cm🥉it was Danielle's first show in a few years and she came back with a bang.

🦄Meagan & Lamore's Optico having a pole in each 80cm it's opticos first and last 80cm because he found it too small😂.
🐴Meagan & Bonnie Canino having good clear and just one pole in the second class of the 90cm due to rider error but she was throwing some big jumps and we are so excited to see her bloom in the future this mare is FOR SALE.
🐴Meagan & Rocky Marciano having a clear in the 1m ad picking up a 🥉next show will be 1.10.
🦄 Meagan & Lamore's O'gallito having their first show having a pole in each class of the 1m and 1.10 due to rider errors but was a great first show with them and exciting future ahead for their partnership 🤩

Well done to everyone who competed you all did well.
