Tshwane SPCA Charity

Tshwane SPCA Charity Please take note:
• Tshwane Municipal by-laws allow 3 dogs OR 3 cats per yard. What is included in the adoption fee?

• You need to visit the SPCA and meet the pets available for adoption.
• Please make an appointment via email: [email protected] (Centurion branch) or [email protected] (Waltloo branch).
• An adoption application is completed and a R202 (non-refundable) deposit is paid to reserve the pet. This amount will be deducted from the full adoption fee.
• If you are adopting a dog, and already

have a dog(s), you are required to bring them to the SPCA branch for a “meet & greet” to confirm compatibility.
• The following documentation is required: Copy of ID, proof of residence and a letter from the body corporate or property owner confirming that you may keep pets if you live in an estate, complex or rented property. After all documentation is received and compatibility is approved, a home check will be conducted by the SPCA Tshwane.
• All adoption applications are subject to approval from an SPCA Tshwane Inspector.
• Once the home check is approved, the pet will be sterilised, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed.
• You will be notified when your adopted pet is ready to go home. If you live on a plot or farm then you are allowed more.
• Should you live in a complex, estate or rented property, you are required to provide a letter from the Body Corporate or property owner confirming that you may keep pets.
• Your application may be turned down if you have pets at home that are kept in cages (rabbits, birds, reptiles, etc).
• The compatibility meeting as well as the sterilisation are non-negotiable. Adoption fees:
Adult cat - R650
Adult dog - R850
Puppies and kittens under 6 months old - R990
All adopted pets are sterilised, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed before the adoption. Thank you for your interest in adopting the next member of your family from the SPCA!

Kindly follow our Tshwane SPCA for animals available for adoption, this page will now be used for our Charity Shop.

Our charity shop is one of our main sources of income and plays a crucial role in supporting Tshwane SPCA.
We have exciting plans for our charity shop this year. As most of you know already, we have our very own line of Rescue Roast coffee. You can also support us by buying directly from Rescue Roast, just search for Tshwane SPCA.
Bring your friends and come play some board games, browse through our books and charity shop. Soon you will be able to add a cup of coffee while you spend valuable time with friends.
The plan is to have Saturday markets again with activities for young and old.
All donated items are sold in our shop to help fund our services. By donating, you are not only giving items a second life but also making a meaningful difference in the lives of the animals in our care.
We accept:
👕 Second-hand clothing (clean and in good condition)
🔌 Appliances (we kindly request fully functional items)
🏠 Household items (kitchenware, décor, furniture, etc.)
🧸 Toys, baby and children accessories (good condition)
Please note: We are unable to accept broken, incomplete, or unsafe items.
We kindly request that our services not be used for rubble removal. As we have limited resources for collection, we would greatly appreciate your understanding.
Should you have any items you like to donate, please contact our offices to make arrangements.
If you drop it off at our office one of our staff members will assist you to store it safely until we can sort the items. If you want us to collect, you will be asked to complete an inventory list before collecting. All items must be documented.

Should you be concern about where your donation will go and feel unsure, contact us. Our drivers will collect directly from you and will be delivered directly to our premises. We will never send private people to collect from you unless they have authorisation from our office. Volunteers must also be authorised by our office and must declare a once-off permission letter.

🐾 POEM OF A DOG
I'm the one who's always waiting for you.
Your car has a special sound that I have imprinted on my senses, I can recognize it in a thousand.
Your steps have a magic bell.
Your voice is music to my ears.
If I see your joy, it makes me happy!
Your scent is the best.
Your presence moves my senses.
Your waking up wakes me up
I contemplate you sleeping and for me, you are my God, I am happy watching you sleep.
Your look is a ray of light.
Your hands upon me, hold the lightness of peace and the sublime display of infinite love.
When you leave, I feel a huge void in my heart.
I keep waiting for you again and again.
I am the one who will wait for you all your life today, tomorrow, and forever:
I am your dog

Thank you to the member of public who brought the plight of these puppies to our attention. Two hours of digging to rescue the last of a litter of four pups in a labyrinth of semi-collapsed concrete drains behind the old railway in Irene. Well done Inspectors Serra and Karen, Kennel Manager Jermille, and Kennel Assistant Robert!
