Uzwela Animal Rescue Our services are dependent on the contributions that we receive from the community and supporters. (wounds, diseases etc.)

"Community Pet Sterilization Services โ€“ supporting responsible pet ownership by preventing unwanted breeding, assisting with the care and rehoming of stray or abandoned animals, and improving access to affordable veterinary care." Uzwela is a pet sterilization organization that assists the community with the sterilization of dogs and cats at an affordable rate as well as pre-emptive and emergency veterinary treatment for those who cannot afford standard rates We cover the entire South of Johannesburg, Midvaal and Vaal. Without the services that we provide, and other organizations like us, the unnecessary breeding of animals that lead to neglect, abuse and abandonment, will become uncontrollable. Apart from funding for sterilizations we also require funding for emergency vet care, food and supplies for general care of our shelter animals. Members of the community that are unable afford standard veterinary care can apply through our organization for services at a reduced rate. The following information is required should assistance be requested: Proof of finances by providing a bank statement, latest pay slip or SASSA card or in the event of unemployment an affidavit from the police must be supplied. Consideration is given to individuals who cannot make any monetary payment at all. From time to time, finances permitting and with the assistance of various vets, we launch township projects which entail sterilization and general pre-emptive health care (Vaccinations and deworming) as well as various veterinary interventions. We urge people to please continue supporting our organization, sharing our information and even volunteering to assist with raising funds and helping with events. Without the help of the community we would not be able to continue with this much needed service. Our animals need us, they are a vital part of our community and deserve to be loved and cared for. While current legislation does not yet prohibit it, your reports help us map out the scale of the problem and build a database that will ensure these operators are the first to be visited once new laws are enacted.
