Fauresmith 2023 ✅

Connemara Endurance had an exceptional performance at Fauresmith this year with all 5 horses making the full 206km, unfortunately 1 of our horses fell out at the final vet check!

🐎 Mijasto Brian & Dube Price Moor - solid as ever! This pair came 5th in the heavyweight and Dube was the oldest rider to finish the race! P.S Brian has never been outside the top 10 in his entire racing career 🥇

🐎 Mijasto Cleopatra & Jolandi Hillebrand - Cleopatra completed her 3rd Fauresmith with relative ease and will be looking to compete more and more in years to come.

🐎 Mijasto Azizi & Joanne Webber - this pair had a lovely performance, making it to the final vet check where unfortunately she was eliminated… she will be looking to bounce back strong next year.

🐎 Stebrika Jessica & Maya Janbey - Madam Jessica completed her 6th Fauresmith in a row and still had plenty left in the tank at the end! Age does not seem to bother this amazing horse!

🐎 Montego Bay & Emma Olsen - This pair had an awesome 3 days riding mostly under the guidance of our local veteran, Jessica. This was Monty’s 3rd Fauresmith!

Grooming 5 horses at such an event would not have been possible without our dedicated and experienced grooming team lead by the one and only Kathy Price Moor! We are so thankful for the love and care that our horses (and riders) receive from our CIC 🙏🏼❤️.

📍 SAIC 2022 📍

The Connemara team is rearing to go at SAIC held at Sondela this coming weekend.

We have a particularly powerful trio taking part, with all three representing the KZN heavyweight team ‼️

🐎 Mijasto Brian - Dube and Brian will be looking to further their unbelievable form.

🐎 Mijasto Cleopatra - Sandra Badenhorst will be teaming up with fiery Cleopatra.

🐎 Mijasto Azizi - Jaco Pretorius will be teaming up Cleopatra’s sister, as Azizi looks to finish strong in her first SAIC.

👮‍♀️ Our team’s performance will be closely monitored by our commander in chief 👸 and heavyweight team manager, Kathy!!

The Mijasto Stud , Upington , horses have done well this year in Endurance and have established them as a very serious contender , with their unique bloodline , of Arabian cross Namibian Wild Horse.

Fauresmith 2022 ✅

The Connemara team had an incredible batch of results from Fauresmith this year. With over 50% of starters not finishing this year, we are ecstatic that 4/5 of our horses finished very strong!!

🐎 Mijasto Brian - Brian continues to impress as he finished 8th in the heavy weight category and further being awarded horse of the year!! 🥇

🐎 Stebrika Jessica - Jessica completed her 6th Fauresmith in a row without fail and managed to place 13th in the heavy weight category.

🐎 Mijasto Cleopatra - Cleopatra completed her first Fauresmith with relative ease and we are very optimistic about her future as a contender at Fauresmith!

🐎 Mijasto Azizi - Just like her sister Cleopatra, Azizi also completed her first Fauresmith as they rode the entire 206km together and finished extremely strong! We are looking forward with high hopes for Azizi after a solid ride!

All in all, we are happy to see the hard work out into our horses pay off with such amazing results!

The Connemara team is beyond impressed by the performance of Mijasto Brian and Dube Price Moor during the Ride at Gobabis Namibia 🇳🇦

Brian and Dube came 3rd in the heavyweight 120km and captained the South African heavyweight team to victory 🥇🐎

Brian has now finished in the top 3 at all three major rides that have passed!

We are also beyond proud of our very own Kathy Price Moor who managed the South African junior team 🌞🔥

SAIC 2021 ✅

The Connemara Endurance Team had a very very successful week in Kathu NC 🐎. In extremely tough conditions, 2/3 of our athletes successfully completed the 120km in fine form and amazing results.

🐎 Mijasto Shah - Having just come off a 3rd place finish in Bloemfontein, Shah and Justin Charles Vos managed to better his best by coming 2nd in the heavyweight category. 🥈

🐎 Mijasto Brian - Continuing to defy odds, Brian has amazed us with his comeback by managing to complete Bloemfontein in 2nd position and now finishing with Dube Price Moor in 3rd position in the heavyweight category. 🥉

A huge thank you to our grooming team for keeping the horses in top condition and for a very successful SAIC 2021.

Our athletes had an amazing week at the Bloemfontein 200km provincial challenge. All 4 of our horses successfully passed 200km with the following results;

🐎 Mijasto Brian: 2nd place heavy weight (springbok time).

🐎 Mijasto Shah: 3rd place heavy weight (springbok time).

🐎 Mijasto Cleopatra: Winning standard weight team, top 20.

🐎 Montego Bay: Winning standard weight team, top 15.
