The very special place in our clinic. Here most of patients fall asleep and wake up from anesthesia, under the constant monitoring from our loving staff, plus the foxie team, of course;) The magical "Bobby's bed" is a particular favorite, where most patients choose to fall asleep after sedation. We want our patients to feel like they are visiting their friend's home, rather than spending stressful day in hospital. And it works💕

This is the surgery we do on regular basis at the Crags Vet Clinic. The milder cases of the equine kissing spine can be managed pharmacologically with the repeated steroid injections and regular physiotherapy. But when the bones are already interlocking on all the xray planes, surgery is the best remedy.

Sadly, apart from the hearbreak from the patients, when we cannot help them, abuse from some of the owners and many unpaid bills, some vets also need to watch their backs for their colleagues trying to destroy their business for their own financial gain... It is not an easy profession, but honestly: I could not imagine being anything but. I will survive💞

But even more important than that: the fearful.dig lives in a constant stress, and most of cases are preventable if addressed early.

WARNING:

Since the last storm we had quite a few cases of "pesticide-like" poisoning after the walk on the beach, botn NV and town. Two cases were serious and required repeated treatment. Symptoms were: disorientation, vomiting, ataxia, even the loss of consciousness. In all cases symptoms started shortly after the return from the beach. The beach is currently full of debris, possibly mixed with chemicals washed out of the damaged sheds and garages. Please, be very careful and if possible, avoid off leash beach walks for a while.

Driving to work today. I hope everyone is safe. The clinic is open, I drive between the clinic and out patients and connection is very patchy, but I come to the clinic all the time to check on the patients, so please, be patient if you have to wait a bit. Difficult time for all of us right now, but just look at the beauty around💞
