The normal calls we have to do on a very, very regular basis. Glen-Graze Rescue Sanctuary's love, care and passion could not save this poor animal, but we did what we could - end the excruciating suffering ๐ข
What would your opinion of possible cause to this devastating medical condition:
1. Canine Transmissible Venereal Tumor (TVT) is a contagious, transmissible round-cell cancer commonly found on or near the external genitalia or inguinal region. It frequently presents as a friable, fleshy, cauliflower-like mass that bleeds easily.
2. Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC), a locally invasive malignant tumor of the skin cells. It often manifests as a firm, raised, wart-like plaque or nodule that splits open, ulcerates, and becomes secondary infected.
3. High-Grade Cutaneous Mast Cell Tumor (MCT) which is the most common skin cancers in dogs and can vary wildly in appearance. High-grade variants can grow rapidly, appearing as large, angry, ulcerated, and swollen masses due to localized histamine release.
High-grade MCT are highly aggressive. They release histamine upon being agitated, which can cause severe swelling, internal ulcers, and even send the animal in shock. They can spread rapidly to the liver, spleen, and bone marrow. Have your dog checked regularly especially sparsely haired or non-pigmented skin, the nail bed (digit), or inside the mouth - this can save a life!
Run free baby, we could not save your life but we did manage to eliminate the severe pain and discomfort. The friends are waiting, the bridge is precious, a place where you leave all behind and an eternal happy joyful future will embrace and welcome you โค๏ธโค๏ธ
