Warmer October days change the rhythm for our hairy hooligans. More walks, more outside time and more lounging in whatever tiny patch of shade they can negotiate.

Keep fresh water available, avoid pushing exercise in the hottest part of the day and pay attention to how your dog is coping with the heat. Grooming can help keep coats clean and manageable, but coat needs differ by breed and coat type.
