Pretoria Dog Rescue NPC 2015/416285/08 PDR is a registered non-profit, pro-life dog rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary. All our dogs are medically treated & rehabilitated before being rehomed.

We rely on public donations to care for over 80 rescued dogs in the shelter and at foster homes. We need volunteers to help walk our dogs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9h00 - 14h00.

🐾 Meet Jack, Jules & Sparkles! 🐾
These three adorable pups are the last of their litter and are still waiting patiently for their forever families. ❤️
Born on 27 April, Jack, Jules and Sparkles are mixed-breed puppies who are full of life, personality and intelligence. They love to explore, play and would make wonderful companions for the right families. 🐶
No puppy deserves to grow up in a kennel. They deserve a warm bed, a loving family and a place they can finally call home. 🏡
Could you be the forever family one of them has been waiting for? Or perhaps you know someone who could give them the love they deserve?

Our special girl is doing so well!
She is the sweetest girl, and only wants love, and of course her food😊

Thank you everyone who have prayed for her and helped with her recovery process with your donations. Words cannot describe how grateful we are. It wouldn't have been possible without your generosity.
Thank you for everyone's love and care for her.

Thank you Pierre van Ryneveld Vet and the wonderful staff. Phoebe is just loved by everyone there.

Thank you for the huge discount on her treatment!

There is R1,000 still outstanding on her account, and if anyone can please help with a few spare rands, we will be forever thankful.

🐾 5 LITTLE LIVES LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOMES 🐾

These puppies were born on 28 June after two families, who had fallen on extremely difficult circumstances, were forced to move in together with their unsterilised dogs. Before they knew it, 8 little puppies had arrived. 💔

When the families had to move again, they could only take their adult dogs with them.

Thankfully, a Pretoria Dog Rescue (PDR) volunteer stepped in and gave these babies a second chance. ❤️

Today, they are safe and getting amazing socialisation and training, including exposure to different people and other animals. They are being given the opportunity to grow, develop their own personalities and learn all the skills they need to become wonderful family companions. 🐶

Both parents are smaller mixed-breed dogs (smaller than a Fox Terrier), so these puppies are expected to remain on the smaller side.

✨ These puppies are ready for families who will love them for life.
They deserve homes where they can grow up feeling safe, loved and wanted.

If you are looking to add a new member to your family, please consider adopting one of these beautiful babies rather than buying a puppy. 🏡❤️

UPDATE PHOEBE

Her new mom, Tracy, visited her yesterday.
She is now officially called Faith 😍

Message from Tracy:

"Faith is doing well. She has picked up 500g🥹🥹 since after her surgery. She still has a long way to go but she is doing her best.💪

She is so sweet, they are very good to her at the vet and she just thinks she is in heaven.❤️

Look at her pretty jersey💞💞.

Yes, it will take long but she will be the most beautiful girl in 6 months❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏
God is Great.💞💞"

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has followed and shared her story, contributed and prayed for her.
Thank you for her pretty new jersey Elize! 💕
We are grateful that so many people care so much!

Contributions towards her vet bill will still help her and us a lot.

UPDATE ON PHOEBE ❤

Phoebe had a bit of a setback on Thursday and they had to put her back on a drip.

She was thankfully doing much better yesterday. She ate better and started walking again, slowly but surely.

We thank everyone who has supported her financially from the bottom of our hearts.

We, however, still need contributions for her vet bill, since costs increase every day she is in hospital.

I am Benji, I am looking for my forever home...

A kind lady found me in Nellmapius Avenue, Centurion and took me to a vet so they could keep me safe.

I did not have a microchip, so they could not find my family.

I think I had a home before, since I love people and other doggy friends very much. I walk so well on a leash, I am used to being an inside doggy and I was already castrated when I was found. I don't know what happened to my previous family.

I am with an awesome foster family now, but they can unfortunately only look after me until next week Wednesday.

I was very skinny when I was found, but have picked up some weight since.

I am still young, medium-sized, healthy and very playful, and am longing for a new, loving forever family where I will have other doggy friends to play with.

Can you be my new family?
Please contact Ina on 082 789 9195, WhatsApp only, if you can give me a new home.
I will be your best friend and most loyal companion.
I am in Centurion.

LATEST UPDATE FROM THE VET:

Phoebe is much better today ❤
She is eating well, still loves her food😀
Always so happy to see the staff that her tail doesn't stop wagging.
Her blood results and lungs have also improved.

We are so grateful that she has come so far and fought so hard. This is a miracle from God.

Thank you for everyone's support and prayers.
