Bundessieger-Zuchtschau (BSZS) - the World Championship show for German Shepherd Dogs, is an annual international competition held in Germany where the best German Shepherd Dogs are showcased and judged. The event features elite German Shepherd Dogs from around the world competing for the title of World Champion.

Germany 🇩🇪 – PART 1
The BZSZ 2025! Never in my life did I think I’d find myself standing in the same space as some of the top breeders, dogs, handlers, and trainers in the world. It took me a while to finally hit “buy ticket” — but wow, I’m so glad I did. Definitely not the last time!
It was so special reconnecting with familiar faces, some who have known me since I was just a little thing running around the ring, and who have guided me along the way as a handler. I also met many new people who’ve made such a big impact in the GSD world. Of course, there were some I missed out on seeing (and some I would have loved to meet!) — but there’s always next year.
One of the most encouraging things for me was seeing how many young handlers stepped up, not just in the first ring but also in the top groups! I remember how daunting it felt as a young handler, standing among the best, handling V’s, VA’s, Siegers and Siegerins while seasoned pros were fighting for positions around me. These young handlers looked so confident and professional — it was inspiring! A true reminder to the world: trust your youth. 💪🎊
A huge honor for me was being able to handle in the Schiwago Bad-Ball progeny group. Thank you Jan Martin & Peter Send for giving me the opportunity to step into the biggest ring in the world — what an experience! 👏
I also had the privilege of spending the weekend with the Piste Trophe team & Zentiche team. It was amazing to see the support systems you’ve built for each other. Thank you for looking after me throughout the weekend!
Of course, the biggest thanks goes to one of the incredible family's who hosted me in Germany: Ludwig Roth Markéta Roth Leonie Stiefel and Lucas. Thank you for welcoming me into your home, for the endless Wienschale’s and Ouzo shots 🍷🥂, for all the laughter over old memories, and for showing me around Frankfurt. I can’t thank you enough.
And then — the girl team! Nadine Bauer Kerstin Weigl & Steffi ❤️. From “Fröheshopping” and too many beers, to Blutwurz shots, Bavarian food, new german words to add to my already shocking german, Regensburg adventures, and choosing which boat Kerstin is taking to South Africa 🚤😂 — I loved every moment. Nadine, a special thank you to you. You made sure my Germany experience was unforgettable. You, your family, and your friends truly spoiled me, and I’ll cherish this week for years to come. My German was rusty (okay, very rusty 😅), but you kept pushing me to speak and be confident. Don’t worry — it will be much better next year!
To end off this long post — congratulations to all the breeders, handlers, trainers, and dogs. This sport takes immense time, dedication, and commitment, and it truly showed in the ring. The dogs were incredible. I’ve learned so much, and I’m ready to keep learning more.
