Critical Emergencies Requiring Immediate Care:

- Respiratory Distress: Struggling to breathe, noisy breathing, or blue/pale gums.

- Trauma: Hit by a car, significant falls, or severe bite wounds.

- Collapse/Unconsciousness: Sudden onset of inability to stand, weakness, or unconsciousness.

- Neurological Issues: Seizures (especially multiple or prolonged), stumbling, or paralysis.

- Urinary Obstruction: Specifically in male cats, straining to urinate with no production is fatal if not treated immediately.

- Toxin Ingestion: Known or suspected consumption of poisons, human medication, or toxic plants.

- Severe Bleeding: Continuous, heavy bleeding from wounds, nose, or mouth.

- Obstruction/Bloat: Sudden, large, tense belly; uncontrolled continuous vomiting or Severe uncontrolled diarrhoea.

- Heat Stroke: Excessive panting, drooling, and lethargy after being in high heat

- Snake bites (If you are able to take a picture of snake it will help to know how to treat)

Please note that we treat all emergencies according to severity - if you are unsure if it is an emergency call or rather bring animal in. If it is after hours please take animal to your closest 24H Vet practice
