WHAT A DAY! 🐴✨

A fantastic day of training at Jade Equestrian with Chad Cunningham.

A huge thank you to Chad for making the trip to Port Elizabeth and for sharing so much knowledge with our riders. From the younger and less experienced combinations right through to our competitive riders, there was something to take away from every lesson.

We loved seeing everyone learning, being challenged and finishing the day with plenty to go home and work on. 💪🐴

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success and well done to all our riders and horses! 💛

Horse riding teaches so much more than what happens in the saddle.

It builds confidence, patience, discipline, responsibility, and resilience. Skills that benefit riders both in and out of the arena.

Whether you're taking your very first lesson or looking to progress your riding, Jade Equestrian provides a supportive environment where riders can learn, grow and thrive.

🐴 Coach CHECK IN with Coach Hannah

Here is a little catch-up from Coach Hannah and her riders at Jade Equestrian 🤍

Another busy week of lessons, progress and plenty of good moments in the saddle.

This week, Coach Hannah has been particularly proud of:

✨ Little Lizzy (4 years old) getting her riding trot (through many giggles), Kate for feeling confident enough to canter jumps again for the first time since her injury, and Mila for pushing through her nerves.

✨ For my little riders we have spent the week focusing on balance and the older groups have had a basic week, working over simple tracks with loads of no stirrups (as always 😂)

✨ Funniest moment has to be Lizzy, she has struggled to get the rising trot, purely because she can’t get past the giggles from bouncing everytime she trots, this week I ran next to her to physically hold her hand and help her get it, which resulted in more giggles and a great round of applause from Jack, myself and mom! 😂 (See video 2!)

Swipe through for a few moments from the week 📸🐴

Well done to all of our riders we love seeing the progress being made week after week. 🤍

🐴 Meet the Jade Equestrian Riding School Team 💚

Over the past few weeks, we’ve introduced you to some of the very special ponies who make up our riding school… and now it’s time to celebrate the whole gang! 🥰

Molly, Ruggens Gino, Boo, Twilight, Archer, Gigi, Quincy, and Massey🐴✨

From the reliable old favourites to our newest additions, the cheeky characters to the gentle souls, each of these ponies brings something completely different to our riding school.

They teach our riders far more than just how to ride. Confidence, patience, perseverance and, most importantly, a love for horses. 🤍

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful group of ponies looking after our riders, and we love every one of them… even the slightly opinionated ones! 😂

The heart of our riding school. 💚🐴

🐴 MONDAY COACH CHECK-IN with Coach Jess

Starting the week with a little catch-up from Coach Jess and her riders at Jade Equestrian 🤍

Another busy week of lessons, progress and plenty of good moments in the saddle.

This week, Coach Jess has been particularly proud of Skyla and Layla. These girls are so passionate about their riding and work so hard. They show up no matter what.

We are working on keeping our bodies strong and balanced. Allowing us to build confidence and to trust our ponies and horses. In our recent lessons, we had some fun with working riding obstacles.

I am so proud of all my riders and how much each of them continue to grow and learn while having fun.

Swipe through for a few moments from the week 📸🐴

Well done to all of our riders — we love seeing the progress being made week after week. 🤍

🐴 COACH CHECK-IN with Coach Tanit

Starting the week with a little catch-up from Coach Tanit and her riders at Jade Equestrian 🤍

Another busy week of lessons, progress and plenty of good moments in the saddle.

This week, Coach Tanit has been particularly proud of:
✨ Zenéa: Her lower leg was super steady, her heels were down and her upper body was tall with her shoulders back, she had that perfect line of ear, shoulder, hip and heel…the perfect position 🤩
✨ We worked on our balance in the saddle with around the world and no stirrups, we also worked on riding straight lines!
✨ Our funny moment was when Molly decided to start eating some grass in a puddle out of all places on our outride 🤣

Swipe through for a few moments from the week 📸🐴

Well done to all of our riders. 🤍

🐴 Meet Quincy 💙
...our cheeky one! 😂🐴

Quincy definitely has a personality all of his own. He has his good days and his slightly more opinionated days, and one thing we’ve learnt for sure, Quincy is NOT a fan of the wind! 🌬️😂

But when he’s managed correctly and everything is to his liking, he is absolutely fantastic and has become a firm favourite at Jade Equestrian.

He keeps us on our toes, makes us laugh and is one of those ponies you can’t help but love. 💙
