Meet Anele and "Baba"! Anele rushed Baba in late one afternoon after picking her up off the street in Kwazakhele. She had biliary and we admitted her, where she spent two nights in hospital. Anele faithfully came to visit her every day. One of his first questions was how to prevent her from getting kittens, because "he is not ready to be a grand-daddy!" 😅. She was due for a check up a week later, when he phoned in a panic that the roads from his house were flooded. He was at the door first thing the next morning for her appointment. She was so loving and full of life, having doubled in weight! She sleeps on his head and seems to have taken over his house. 😆 These actions may not mean much to the outside world, but to us it remains a privilege to witness the bond between them.❤️❤️

🌟 APPRECIATION POST 🌟

🩷Michelle🩷Essie🩷Leanne🩷Debbie🩷Mel🩷Sharon

Yesterday we celebrated Secretary’s Day, but we think these very special ladies deserve a title all of their own… something more along the lines of “Unicorn Wonder Women”! 🦄🦸‍♀️✨

Being a veterinary receptionist requires a very specific skill set — including hair on your teeth, nerves of steel and a heart of gold. ❤️

They keep their cool under intense pressure, juggle a million things at once, and somehow manage to navigate the full spectrum of human and animal emotions — often all at the same time! 🐾

It can be an incredibly demanding role, and constantly being the calm in everyone else’s storm can certainly take its toll. So, we decided these ladies deserved a little well-earned indulgence at Shambala Wellness Spa. 🧖‍♀️✨

Because behind every great veterinary team is a receptionist who keeps the wheels turning, the clients reassured and the chaos (mostly!) under control.

We simply would not be able to do what we do without them. 💕

Thank you for everything you do, ladies. You truly are our Unicorn Wonder Women! 🦄💪❤️

Our practice has welcomed two new friendly faces! Dr. Alex de Jager and Dr. Eudene Gaybba joined us in August and have rapidly become invaluable assets to our team. Dr. Alex grew up in Humansdorp, while Dr. Eudene is a born and bred PE-girl who recently returned from a two-year stint in the UK. Both bring a wealth of innovative knowledge and skills to the practice, and we are very excited for you to meet them 😁
