Meet little, Bubble - a senior doggo that is very loved and well taken care of.

Any pet owner will know that feeling you get when your pup reaches that age where you start doubting yourself - "Are they still comfortable? Am I holding on out of selfish reasons? When is the right time to let go?"

Well... Speaking from experience... Those answers never come easily. Each animal comes with their own signs, healthcare sensitivities, and little quirks that lets you know when the time comes to let them go.

For Bubble? I don't think she's going anywhere any time soon. She's got a s***k to her, a pep in her step. To Bubble and her family, thank you for giving me the privilege to help take care of Bubble when her family isn't around. It's a blessing to be a part of it. ♥️

Nothing more blissful in life than feeding fish. They are awesome to watch. 🥹 Or is it just me? 😳

"Why would I want my dog doing nothing?"🙄
Because the nothing is everything.

It's teaching them to settle.
Teaching them to switch off.
Showing them that relaxation is an option.

We spend so much time teaching dogs to do things.
Sit.
Come. Wait. Leave it.
But some dogs never learn how to stop.

Ever sat at a dog-friendly café and wondered how some dogs can just lie there and relax?

Next time you're there, have a look underneath them.
Notice that mat?
Their own little piece of familiarity in a very busy world.

A place where good things have happened over and over again.

Food. Pats. Toys. Praise.
Safety.

The mistake people make is jumping straight to "stay".

Because a mat isn't supposed to be a place your dog is forced to remain.
It's a place they want to be.

At first, all you're doing is making that spot the best place in the world.
Then you slowly expand where that mat goes.
The backyard.
Then a friend's house.
The vet waiting room.

It’s not "stay here."
It’s not "don't move."

It should be "This spot is safe."

That's why mat work can be so powerful.

That's why it works.

Whenever I'm not busy with someone's pets, I love doing things with my own.

Here, my beloved Duchess (3yo) is taking a nice swim after our Wednesday dog school session. 🥰

4m18s video of her swimming, sped up to 1m30s with an added picture of her all tuckered out next to her adoptive brother, Duke (7mo).

She really has a lot of energy. 🥹 Finally got her settled at around 2:15pm. 😆

This pet sitting opportunity was a true blessing, as the property resembles a mini homestead. Thank you again for making use of my services. 🤗🌹 Looking forward to serve you again.

Some very good games to play with dogs. From puppy to an adult dog that never received training. The older the doggo, the more patience you'll need. Happy training! 🤗

Training starts the moment your puppy comes home… even if you don’t feel like you’ve “started training” yet.

So what if you could begin with something simple, fun, and incredibly powerful?

I borrowed a sweet puppy named Archer to show you how 5 easy games can shape confidence, focus, and thoughtful choices right from the start.

Watch how quickly Archer discovers that learning is fun, his name really matters, loving a special place builds confidence, a clear “Break” helps him understand when he’s free, and that four paws on the floor is the choice that brings the best outcomes.

Because we’re not "fixing" puppies.
We’re building dogs who choose to listen.

Take a look at the blog and video in the comments and see which game you might try first!

A little throwback!

These two were from our second customer. A beautiful black Staffy girl and a character of an American Bulldog boy.

Please note, I only offer pet services in the form of Walks, Overnight Stays, and feeding/watering Home Visit.

These two, however, had me helping the owner on another level. The baby girl had overgrown nails, and being in a new town, no vet records besides the cards the owner had.

So, with the permission of the owner, I got them set up with a nice Vet office. The vet took quick care of the baby girl's nails! Two visits later, and it's like our baby girl never had overgrown nails.
The crazy boy was a different story. With some help, we discovered he only had 2 long nails and made quick work of them after just 1 visit. Got to hand it to the Vet, she did a wonderful job! He was no easy customer!

Both are happy and healthy! I never did mind to help owners take care of their pets, as long as they cover the expenses, I'm game for most things. 🤣

Miss them, and love them!
