When it comes to our little ones, especially those vulnerable to IVDD, every detail matters.

IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) is a condition that affects the spine, most commonly in dogs with long backs and shorter legs such as dachshunds, corgis and similar breeds.

It happens when the discs between the vertebrae become damaged or slip, placing pressure on the spinal cord and nerves.

Symptoms can range from pain, reluctance to jump or climb, stiffness and wobbliness, to weakness or even paralysis in severe cases.

Early support and prevention are incredibly important.

Gentle movement, weight management, supportive care, and reducing strain on the spine—such as limiting jumping and using ramps instead of stairs or furniture jumping can help protect vulnerable backs and improve quality of life.

IVDD is not simply about mobility—it is about preserving comfort, dignity and freedom of movement for our beloved companions.

"The stress of being owned by a dachshund. (IVDD version)

You haven't truly known stress until you've tried to stop an ivdd dachshund from doing literally.......anything fun.

"Don't jump!" you cry - as they leap off the couch like a tiny torpedo.
"Take it easy!", you plead - as they zoom past you like they're training for the Longdog Olympics.
And that sigh when you pick them up instead of letting them climb the stairs?.... Oscar-worthy.

🫣 Did they just trip? Was that a wobble?

Our homes are now fortresses of ramps, soft landings and "jump blockers" made from whatever we could find.

We can lift 6-9 kg of sausage in one arm while making coffee with another - because, we are professionals now.

But for all the grey hairs and minor heart attacks, we wouldn't trade our long, stubborn, fearless little dictators for anything!

Here's to all the amazing IVDD doggie parents, living in constant chaos, powered by love, coffee, and sheer dachshund determination!"

If you have a small furry friend a pet ramp is a necessity.

Our pet ramps are sturdy and are made of pine, can reach five different heights (40.45.50.55 and 60cm), have an easily manageble incline and are foldable for easy storage.

Our ramps can also be custom made to suit your specific requirements.

Our business was birthed as a result of losing our precious little 5 year old dachshund girly, Djembe, to the dreaded Ivdd. Because of that we realised the necessity of doing all we can to prevent other babies from ever having to go through that.

The reason we do this is because we are passionate about it, committed to the cause and have an absolute love for animals. You will see and feel the level of excellence and love that goes into each ramp and your baby will love it!

These ramps are R2000 including courier to anywhere in South Africa.

These ramps can be pricey, because they are made from quality materials and take a lot of time, effort and skill, but your little one is worth the investment!
