Empowering communities through knowledge and action 🌱💧

We recently hosted a 2-day practical aquaponics workshop in collaboration with the Stellenbosch University Water Institute, combining both theoretical learning and hands-on training.

This initiative focused on uplifting members of the Rustenburg community—many of whom were previously employed in mines that have since closed—by equipping them with the skills to start their own sustainable agriculture businesses.

Participants also had the opportunity to visit Aquagrow Farms, where they gained valuable insights into commercial aquaculture and tilapia farming operations.
