Veterinary physiotherapy isn't only for dogs recovering from injury or surgery. It's also one of the best ways to prevent problems before they start.

Targeted strengthening exercises help:
• Build muscle and joint stability
• Improve balance and coordination
• Reduce the risk of injury
• Support healthy ageing
• Keep active dogs performing at their best

Whether your dog is a playful puppy, a sporting companion, or a senior who deserves to stay comfortable for longer, a personalised strengthening programme can make a real difference.
Don't wait until your dog is in pain.

Book a preventative assessment or strengthening session and give your dog the best chance at a healthier future.

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) is a gentle rehabilitation tool that uses small electrical impulses applied through pads placed on the skin. These impulses help stimulate the nerves and muscles, encouraging the body’s natural pain-relieving response.

TENS works by:
- Blocking pain signals from reaching the brain
- Stimulating the release of endorphins (natural pain-relieving hormones)
- Improving circulation to the treated area
- Reducing muscle tension and discomfort
- Helping maintain muscle activation during recovery

It can be especially beneficial for dogs recovering from surgery, managing osteoarthritis (OA), neurological conditions, muscle weakness, or chronic pain. Because it is non-invasive and comfortable for most patients, TENS is an excellent addition to a personalised rehabilitation plan.

Every dog deserves to move with comfort, confidence, and less pain.

Your dog won’t always show you when something hurts.

Most pets don’t “tell” us with pain — they adapt. A slight stiffness, a change in movement, less enthusiasm on walks… these are often the first signs, long before obvious limping appears.

By the time pain is visible, compensation has usually already started.
That’s where physiotherapy makes a real difference — catching issues early, improving mobility, and keeping your dog moving comfortably for longer.

Don’t wait for pain to become obvious.
If something feels “a bit off,” it probably already is.
Early care = longer, healthier, happier movement.

This is Tala, one of my loyal patients that I’ve been treating for over a year now. 🤍

Tala has been dealing with hindlimb joint degeneration for many years, and mobility can often be challenging, especially when she becomes sore and stiff. Over time, she has adapted her biomechanics to cope, but this often leads to compensation patterns and discomfort in her forelimbs as well.

Since starting physiotherapy, Tala has truly become a happier girl — running around, enjoying life, and staying active. My main goal with her treatment is to keep her comfortable, strong enough to remain mobile, and able to continue doing the things she loves most.

Her owner is incredibly dedicated to Tala’s health and wellbeing, which makes such a difference. Home exercises and home adaptation recommendations are carefully followed, and together we work as a team to help Tala continue living a happy and comfortable life.
