🐷💦 When the summer heat hits, Mike knows exactly how to stay cool! ☀️🚿

A little hose spray, a whole lot of happiness, and one very spoiled piggy! 😂💚

Mike is living his best life, enjoying his own little spa day while beating the heat. Who needs a swimming pool when you have a hose and a human willing to pamper you? 🐽💦

Stay cool, everyone — Mike certainly is! 🥰🌿

💔 Thank goodness they reached out to us.

This morning, we welcomed a beautiful Syrian hamster into Bunny Hop Haven. She’s only about 5 months old and had been gifted to a teenager who already has three male pet rats.

Although she was safely inside her own enclosure, the rats could still smell her — and unfortunately, they began fighting because of her presence. 😔

Thankfully, her family realised that this situation wasn’t safe for any of the animals and reached out to us.

She is now somewhere she can be safe, settled and properly cared for. 🐹🤍

This is also an important reminder that different species — and even different animals of the same species — have very different needs. Sometimes, the kindest thing we can do is recognise when an animal needs a different environment.

Welcome to your safe haven, little one. You’re in good hands now. 🥹🐹💗

🐰💗 It’s time to get up close and personal with bunny anatomy!

Those adorable twitchy noses, super-sensitive ears, fluffy cheeks, precious paws and powerful hoppy legs all have an important job to do! 🥰

From their incredible almost 360° vision to their famous binkies when they’re feeling happy, bunnies are little bundles of fascinating anatomy and personality. ✨

And of course, every bunny deserves a life filled with kindness, patience, safety and lots of love. 🏡🐇💕

These two girls are clearly in their happiest place! 🐰💗

Our lovely regulars, they come back to Bunny Hop Haven every school holiday — and we absolutely love seeing their excitement each time! 🥰

Surrounded by fluffy friends, bucketfuls of fun and plenty of bunny cuddles, they’re having the absolute time of their lives! 🐇✨

There’s nothing better than watching little visitors grow up with our rescue animals and make the sweetest memories along the way. 💕🌿

Bunny Hop Haven = happy hearts, happy kids & very happy bunnies! 🙂‍↕️

This sweet little Syrian Hamster is looking for a ride from Wilgeheuwel Roodepoort to The Bunny Hop Haven in Observatory ext Johannesburg or to Highlands North Johannesburg.
If anyone could assist with a lift for her, we would be so appreciative.

🐷🛏️ Mattress inspection: officially underway! 😂

Our piggies wasted absolutely NO time checking out their brand-new mattress, kindly donated to Bunny Hop Haven. 💕🐷

After a thorough sniff, a few investigative snorts and some very serious piggy opinions… we think it has passed the test! 🐽✨

Thank you to the wonderful person who donated it and helped make our piggies a little more comfortable. ❤️
