Congratulations 🎊 👏 to Zira and Zala for graduating 🎓 Life Skills Customised.
They are 2 older puppies adopted from the same litter (which is never recommended). Their guardians had to work hard to teach them individual attention/training was good and building confidence.

👏Welcome Daphne and Sybil to puppy school. They arrived all dry and played themselves wet, in and out the puppy pond🤣. Not much training happened but more importantly, socialising was key.

Dogs are always communicating with us—we just need to know what to look for! Learning to read their body language can prevent misunderstandings and strengthen your bond. Here are a few important signals to watch for:

Play Bow
When your dog lowers their front end and keeps their back end up, they’re saying: “Let’s play!” This is a friendly, inviting signal often seen before play begins.

Yawning
Not just a sign of being tired! Yawning can indicate stress or discomfort. Dogs may yawn when they’re feeling unsure or trying to calm themselves (or others) in a situation.

Whale Eye
This is when you can see the whites of your dog’s eyes. It often means your dog is feeling anxious, uncomfortable, or threatened. It’s a signal to give them space.

Growling
Growling is communication—not “bad behaviour.” It’s your dog’s way of saying they’re uncomfortable and need space. Never punish a growl; instead, listen to what your dog is trying to tell you.

Remember: Every behaviour is communication. The more we understand, the better we can support our dogs and keep everyone safe and happy.
