🐾 A SPECIAL FATHER'S DAY TRIBUTE TO ALL PAW DADS 🐾
Not every father raises a child.
Some fathers raise champions on four legs.
Some fathers spend countless hours in the early mornings and late afternoons teaching, guiding, encouraging, protecting, and building trust with the dogs they love.
Today we celebrate all the Paw Dads who open their hearts to the dogs that become family.
And today, we pay special tribute to a man whose passion for dogs is impossible to miss.
Instructor Lee-Wade Loots.
For many people, dogs are pets.
For Lee-Wade, they are family.
From his own beloved K9 partners, Bakwena and Luna, to every dog that walks through the gates of the BCI K9 Academy, each one is treated with the same love, patience, respect, and dedication.
What makes a great instructor is not the commands he teaches.
It is the connection he builds.
You can see it in every class.
You can see it in every training session.
You can see it in the excitement of the dogs when they see him arrive.
You can see it in the trust they place in him.
Whether it is a nervous puppy attending its very first class, a family dog learning obedience, a working K9 in training, or one of our own operational dogs, Lee-Wade treats each one as if it were his own.
Many people see a dog.
He sees potential.
He sees confidence waiting to be built.
He sees a bond waiting to be strengthened.
He sees a life that deserves patience, understanding, and love.
His passion is not measured by the hours he spends training.
It is measured by the wagging tails, the excited greetings, the confidence of the handlers, and the success stories that leave the Academy every week.
Being a father is not only about raising children.
Sometimes it is about nurturing loyalty, building trust, protecting the vulnerable, and making a difference in every life that crosses your path.
To all the Paw Dads, Dog Dads, K9 Handlers, Trainers, and every person whose heart belongs to a dog...
We salute you.
And to Instructor Lee-Wade Loots thank you for being a father figure to so many incredible dogs and for showing every day that leadership, compassion, and respect are the foundation of every great K9 partnership.
The dogs may not be able to say the words...
But their wagging tails say it all.
