Wild to think I just followed my dream, and now this is my life. 🤍

Twenty plus years ago I left corporate to do this full time, no safety net, no guarantee it would work. Just a belief that animals deserved better than being treated like numbers in a system.

Some days it’s still terrifying. Most days it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. This isn’t just a business, it’s every early morning, every late night check, every wagging tail at pickup that tells me it was worth it.

To anyone sitting on a dream right now wondering if there’s ever a “right time” to go for it: there isn’t. You just have to be brave enough to try. 🐾

Things we wish every first-time boarding parent knew. 🐾

Boarding for the first time is a big deal, for you more than them, honestly. So here’s what 20+ years has taught us:

Your dog might take a little time to settle in. New smells, new people, new routine, that adjustment is completely normal.

Tell us everything. The more we know, the better we can care for them, no detail is too small.
You’re allowed to not feel guilty. They get their own little holiday too, and they usually enjoy it more than you’d expect.

Their routine still matters here. Food, meds, sleep, comfort items, we build around what they know.

And please, ask questions. If it’s your first time, we want you just as comfortable as your dog is.

There’s a version of my life that would’ve made sense on paper. Suit, salary, banking career, a story that ties up neatly.

Instead I’m 20+ years into the thing I actually chose, with no backup plan and no regrets. 🐾
Some decisions don’t look brave until years later. This was one of them.
