Playtime can quickly turn into an emergency. 🐾

Titan accidentally swallowed part of his toy, but thankfully, we were able to remove it safely using an endoscope, avoiding the need for surgery.

Always supervise your pets during playtime and remove damaged or small toys that could be swallowed.

Foreign objects in the stomach once often required surgery to remove. Today, depending on the object and its location, an endoscope may allow us to retrieve it safely through the mouth.

This means no abdominal incision, less discomfort and a faster recovery for the patient.

The look your dog gives you when they’re ready to play… but you’re still taking photos. 👀🎾

Toys are more than just fun. They help keep dogs active, mentally stimulated and can even prevent boredom and destructive behaviour.

Not every toy suits every dog:

🐶 Puppies need soft, durable toys for teething
🎾 Active dogs love balls, fetch toys and frisbees
🧠 Clever dogs enjoy puzzle toys and treat dispensers
🦷 Strong chewers need tough, size-appropriate chew toys
🤗 Anxious dogs may enjoy soft comfort toys

Always choose toys that suit your dog’s size, age and chewing habits, and check them regularly for damage.

What causes ear infections in pets? 👂🐾

Ear infections can be caused by allergies, moisture, ear mites, bacteria, yeast, foreign objects or excessive wax build-up. Dogs with long or floppy ears may also be more prone to recurring problems.

Look out for head shaking, scratching, redness, swelling, discharge or an unpleasant smell.

Ear infections can become painful and worsen without treatment, so please contact your vet if you notice any of these signs.
