Meet CLOUD, STORM and RAIN.
These 3 little girls were found just before the storms hit in May, and came to us via the ELM Project, in Tsitsikamma.

☁️ Cloud (aka Meep) is our gray fluffball. She is one of the goofiest kittens we’ve ever met. She’s very expressive and makes the cutest noises, hence the nickname. She is super confident, energetic, and adventurous.

⛈️ Storm is the cuddliest tabby. Her favourite place is in your arms or on your shoulder. She’s very adaptable, curious, and full of affection. She has a calm yet playful nature, and she loves to climb.

🌧 Rain is a sweet-natured tabby with the prettiest coat pattern. She’s a little more sensitive but loves to explore. She’d do best in a home with other kittens or cats, where she can let out her energy playing then snuggle up when she’s tired.

Raising orphaned kittens is hard work, and feeding them is expensive. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped us with these precious babies:

Thank you to our foster moms, Michel and Cait, who bottle fed them round the clock. Thank you to Kelleigh-Anne, the Barefoot Courier, who offered to bring us kitten milk from George for free, when we couldn't find any in Knysna. She even bought us a tin herself! Thank you to everyone else who donated kitten milk and mousse.

It takes a village 🩷 Now, the final step is in your hands: finding them their forever homes. Whatsapp Kate on 071 494 6546 or fill in an online application here:

Urgently seeking retirement home!

12-year-old Elsa needs a new home ASAP.

Shortly after moving to Knysna, Elsa decided to move in with her family's elderly neighbours. But after 2 years, the neighbours have had to move, and can't take her with.

Her original owners were hoping to reintegrate her into their home but their new dog has a very strong prey drive and after getting support from a dog behaviouralist, it has become clear that it isn't safe for Elsa to stay.

Elsa would be perfect for someone older looking to share their retirement years. As a senior kitty, she likes her peace and quiet. She's in good health, and loves behind-the-ear scratches and sitting near her special person. She grew up with a small dog, but doesn't know other cats.

She is sterilised and microchipped.

No adoption fees apply, but homechecks will be done through KAWS.

To adopt Elsa, please Whatsapp Kate on 071 494 6546.

A few months ago, we were trapping cats in the Industrial Area for sterilisation, when we saw something that made out hearts sink.

Kittens. Kittens with bones jutting out, and big wormy bellies. Living in a working environment where danger is constant, and food is scarce.

By the time we convinced the owner to let us take them, only 2 out of 4 were still alive.

We named them Oscar and Emmy.

They've come a long way since then. Emmy likes to sit on your lap, and crawl under the duvet with you. Oscar shows up for love as soon as you give another cat attention. Both come running when you go to the bathroom, because they know they have a captive audience for getting stroked.

They deserve all the soft things.
