Sr Paula had a very special little visitor today , an absolutely adorable tenrec! These tiny exotic patients remind us that there's never a dull moment at Kloof Village Vet.

Big or small, furry or spiky, we love them all! 🐾💚

We’ve done the math… our lovely animal companions go through almost 9,000 blankets and towels a year! That’s around 25 a day! 😲

So today, we’re giving a big shout-out to the behind-the-scenes heroes who keep everything running behind the scenes and make sure our patients always have something clean, warm and cosy to snuggle into. 🐶🐱

It takes a team to care, and every little job makes a BIG difference! 💚

🐾💚 Hospital rounds, with a little extra love!

Sr Natasha and Dr Anuschka had the sweetest little helpers during hospital rounds today! These two pups soaked up all the extra cuddles and even fell asleep while the team discussed the day's cases.

🐔 Meet Helen the Chicken! 💚

Helen is always so calm when getting her bandage changed by Dr O and Sr Paula. She is recovering from bumblefoot.

Bumblefoot is a painful foot infection, caused by small injuries that allow bacteria to enter.
Rough or dirty surfaces, wet bedding and excess weight can increase the risk.

💚 Prevention is key:
✔️ Keep bedding clean and dry.
✔️ Provide soft, safe perches and flooring.
✔️ Check feet regularly for swelling, scabs or sores.

A little prevention goes a long way in keeping our feathered friends happy and healthy! 🐥
