🐾 WHY DO WE CHARGE A CLAIMING FEE?

A claiming fee applies when your owned animal has been brought into our care and you need to claim them back.

By the time you arrive to collect your pet, we have already provided care, food, cleaning, staff time and administration, and sometimes veterinary treatment.

The fee helps us recover a small portion of these costs and encourages responsible pet ownership and proper identification of animals.

❤️ Our goal is always to reunite pets with their families - the claiming fee helps us continue providing this service.

Please make sure your pets are microchipped, have identification and are safely contained. 🐶🐱

UPDATE : OWNER LOCATED

🚨 URGENT APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC – PLEASE SHARE 🚨

We are urgently looking for the owner of two Boerboel/Rottweiler X dogs currently in the vicinity of Otto Street and William Street in Doringkruin.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Please do not attempt to approach, catch or corner these dogs. They are aggressive and, due to their size, should only be handled by trained personnel.

Orkney & Klerksdorp Animal Shelter and Matlosana - Stilfontein Animal Shelter - where we choose life have joined forces and are working together to try and safely catch these dogs. Unfortunately, due to their size and aggressive behaviour, we have been unable to catch them so far without personel being severely injured.

🐾 If you recognise these dogs or know who their owner may be, please contact either shelter immediately.

We urgently need to locate the owner so that we can work towards safely resolving the situation.

📢 PLEASE SHARE – the owner may be unaware that their dogs are in this area.
