THE FARM
Fair Cloud Stud is a pretty, 4- hectare ‘farm’ situated in a quiet, tranquil area known as Sunvalley in the Midrand area of Gauteng, South Africa. The farm has excellent facilities, including large airy stables, 4 training arenas and large paddocks in which the horses are turned-out daily. Highly competent managers and staff attend to the needs of the horses 24/7. ABOUT US
Although we are
a small stud we pride ourselves in breeding quality rather than quantity. Since our first acquisition of Arabian horses in 2006, this beautiful, clever and kind animal has been a passion in our lives. We have collected a small but select group of exceptional individuals, choosing classic bloodlines such as Padron Psyche, Millenium LOA, Bask Afire, Magic Dream to name a few. Although we have a majority of Arabian horses, we are also very proud of our SA Warmbloods with whom we do dressage and ‘showing’. We breed 2-3 purebred arabian foals a year, carefully selecting bloodlines, type and conformation to achieve elegant, typey, athletic and functional horses. The superior quality foals we have produced thus far are everything we could hope for and more. The horses are raised in a loving and trusting environment. We train the horses ourselves and value the advice of other professional trainers we work with and believe that taking time to allow the horse to develop his physical and mental strength with kindness and patience is the key to producing capable, healthy athletes with sound minds and bodies. LIVERY
We take in a limited amount of ‘outside’ horses for a monthly livery fee. The owners can rest assured their horses will be cared for as our own. We also offer basic schooling, long-reining and lunging of the horses, as well as riding instruction but owners are welcome to use their own instructors/trainers if they prefer.
