🐾 Hunt with precision– Detecting the location and movement of prey trapped beneath their paws.

🐾 Climb and navigate – Helping them judge surfaces and footing when walking, climbing, and jumping.

Often hidden by fur, carpal whiskers are just one more amazing feature that makes our feline friends such skilled hunters and athletes! 🐱💕

You arrived in our care tiny, fragile, and already fighting a battle far bigger than you should ever have had to face.🐾 We poured every bit of love, warmth, and hope into your little bodies, but sometimes love is not enough to change the outcome. 😿

Thank you to Natasha Catherine Miles for trusting us with these precious babies and for doing everything possible to save them.

Our hearts are broken 💔, but we take comfort in knowing that these little souls did not leave this world alone. They knew warmth instead of cold, gentle hands instead of hardship, and were surrounded by love and cuddles until their very last breath.

If like us, you cannot bear to think of all the dogs in shelters and in the townships that do not have a warm home this Winter, please support our 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 and help us to keep them warm.

We are collecting blankets for: The Dogs Trust (200 dogs), Dogtown South Africa (80 dogs), Paws R Us: SA (over 70 dogs), Happy Yappers Animal Sanctuary NPO 119-872 (225 dogs) as well as for the dogs in the townships that live outside (assisted by The Dogs Trust and Happy Yappers).

Although the shelters would be grateful for any blanket donations, there is one blanket that is not worth buying: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐭, this blanket cannot be washed (single use only) and is a choking hazard for the dogs. Please consider buying 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐲 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐭 (available at PEP), please see first comment for pictures, or any fleece blanket.

We (and the dogs that will be warm because of you), would be so very grateful if you would add a few blankets to your shopping this weekend and drop them off at one of the drop-off points below.

Or, If you live in a Residential Estate and you are willing to be a drop-off point for the residents in your estate, please contact us.

TNR - Roosevelt Park AVW - Round 2 - 1 June 2026

Double trouble ! 🙀🙀

The last two babies have finally been trapped and are now safely on their way to brighter futures with their sister ( trapped during round 1) and their doting foster Mom 😻.

Meanwhile, Daddy Cat continues to sit at a safe distance, watching the proceedings unfold and taunting us with his presence. He may think he's winning this game of cat and mouse, but we're patient... and persistent. 😼

TNR – Roosevelt Park AVW – Round 1 - 28 May 2026

One is always better than none... 💪🏼🐾

Three traps were set, but only one kitty checked herself in for surgery,💉 while another sat nearby watching the entire operation with great interest 😹— seemingly determined to taunt us with his presence while staying safely out of reach.🙀

Thankfully, our one successful catch was a female who had recently weaned a litter and was already preparing to begin the cycle all over again... not on our watch......

She has now been sterilised, vaccinated, and safely reunited with her small colony.❣️

Still on our most-wanted list are the elusive Daddy cat and the two remaining youngsters. Round 2, we're coming for you! 😸
