This month we mark a remarkable milestone: eight consecutive years without a single rhino poaching incident across our 90,000 acres of protected land. This achievement reflects years of innovation, intelligence-led protection, community partnership and tireless dedication from our rangers and conservation teams.
Ol Pejeta remains home to one of the largest populations of eastern black rhinos in East Africa, as well as a healthy population of southern white rhinos. Across Kenya, rhino numbers are rising—a testament to collaboration, effective protection, and the resilience of these species.
We have achieved this through a combination of advanced security measures, including ranger patrols, canine tracking units, and state-of-the-art monitoring systems. Equally vital is our partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service and local communities, ensuring that people and wildlife continue to thrive side by side.
This milestone belongs to everyone who stands with us—the rangers on the ground, the communities living alongside wildlife, our partners, and supporters around the world. Every patrol, every report, every contribution has helped secure a safer future for rhinos.
We invite you to continue walking with us on this journey—by sharing our story, supporting conservation initiatives, or visiting Ol Pejeta to see what your commitment makes possible.
Here’s to the next eight years, and to a future where rhinos roam free, safe and strong.
