🐾 Breed Profiles A–Z | A is for Airedale Terrier! 🐾

Next up in our long-running Breed Profiles A–Z series is the Airedale Terrier, affectionately known as the “King of Terriers.” 👑🐶

Bold, loyal and incredibly intelligent, Airedales are full of personality! They’re active, confident dogs that form strong bonds with their families and thrive when they have plenty of exercise, mental stimulation and consistent training.

🐾 Airedale at a glance:
❤️ Confident, fearless & loyal
👨‍👩‍👧 Generally great with children when properly socialised
🐕 Can live well with other pets with early socialisation
🏃 High exercise needs
🧠 Highly intelligent and trainable
✂️ Their wiry coat requires regular grooming

Like all breeds, Airedales can be predisposed to certain health concerns, including hip dysplasia, Addison’s disease and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), making regular veterinary check-ups important.
