The recall affects multiple product brands, including Bobtail, Catmor, Canine Cuisine, Optimizor, Ultra Pet, and Superwoof to name a few!

The National Consumer Commission (NCC) has issued a warning to South African pet owners following the recall of certain foods.

🔸 Warm Bedding: Ensure your pet has a cozy, dry, and draft-free place to sleep. Older pets and those with joint issues especially benefit from extra padding or heated beds.
🔸 Dry Off After Walks: Always dry your dog thoroughly after being outside, especially their paws and underbelly, to prevent chills and skin problems.
🔸 Watch Out for Arthritis: Cold weather can worsen arthritis. If your pet is stiff or slower than usual, book a check-up – we can help with pain management.
🔸 Proper Nutrition: Pets burn more calories trying to stay warm. Make sure they’re eating well, and chat to us if you’re unsure about their diet.
🔸 Limit Exposure: Keep outdoor time short, especially in wet or windy conditions. Small, short-haired, or elderly pets might need a warm jacket when heading out!

🐾 Why Yearly Vaccinations Are So Important for Your Dogs and Cats! 🐶🐱

Last week, a scared little cat was brought into Family Vet Fourways after being found wandering along a busy road. She had no collar, no name tag… and at first, no way of knowing where she belonged.
