Thank you to each and every person that sponsored a blanket for Germiston Bedfordview SPCA, after being looted and robbed this week. In total, a 110 blankets were dropped off today, along with some other donations. Each and every person that assisted made a difference and the animals in their care will be a bit warmer in this cold weather. This is heartbreaking, leaving animals that need help in this cold weather because everything was stolen, including blankets. From our side we'll give a 20% discount on our small fleece blankets and 25% discount on our medium fleece blankets if there is anyone willing to buy for them. For each 9 bought we'll also donate an extra blanket.

For this, discounted prices works out to:
R40: Small - 95 x 72cm
R60: Medium - 150 x 95cm

We'll go drop off all the blankets bought this coming Saturday at Germiston Bedfordview SPCA. Send us a message or an email if you want to contribute.

On top of that, dogs' noses just got a bit more amazing. Not only are they up to 100 million times more sensitive than ours, they can sense weak thermal radiation—the body heat of mammalian prey, a new study reveals.
