🌍🐾 28 SEPTEMBER | WORLD RABIES DAY 🐾🌍

Vaccinating your pets is one of the most important steps you can take to protect them, your family and your community.

🐶 Keep your dog’s rabies vaccination up to date.
🐱 Remember that cats also need protection.
📅 Follow your veterinarian’s recommended vaccination schedule.
⚠️ Avoid contact with unfamiliar or wild animals.

Rabies can affect both animals and people, so prevention starts with responsible pet ownership.

A simple vaccination can help save a life. 💉🐾

🐾 PET INSURANCE: BECAUSE THE UNEXPECTED CAN HAPPEN 🐾

We all want to give our pets the very best care , but unexpected accidents, illnesses and emergencies can happen when we least expect them. ❤️

Pet insurance can help take some of the financial pressure out of unexpected veterinary expenses, allowing you to focus on what matters most: getting your pet the care they need. 🩺🐶🐱

Before choosing a policy, make sure you understand:
✔️ What is covered
✔️ What is excluded
✔️ Waiting periods
✔️ Excesses and claim limits
✔️ Whether pre-existing conditions are covered

Planning ahead today can give you greater peace of mind tomorrow. 🐾

Speak to your insurance provider about the options available to you and make sure your furry family member is protected.

🤔 MYTH vs FACT

❌ Myth: My pet should have one litter before being sterilised.

✅ Fact: There is no medical benefit to allowing your pet to have a litter first. In fact, early sterilisation can reduce the risk of several serious health conditions.

If you’re unsure about the right timing for your pet, our team is happy to guide you.

📞 Give us a call to discuss what’s best for your furry family member.

🥣 Good nutrition is the foundation of a healthy life.

The right food does more than fill your pet’s tummy—it supports:
🐾 Healthy growth
🦴 Strong bones and joints
✨ Healthy skin and coat
🛡️ A stronger immune system
❤️ Overall wellbeing

Every pet has different nutritional needs depending on their age, breed and lifestyle.

Not sure if you’re feeding the right food? Our veterinary team can help you choose the best diet for your pet.

🐾 One simple decision can change countless lives.

Every pet that is sterilised helps reduce the number of unwanted puppies and kittens entering shelters or living on the streets.

Benefits of sterilisation include:
✔️ Fewer unwanted litters
✔️ Reduced risk of certain cancers
✔️ Less roaming and fighting
✔️ A healthier, happier pet

This August, let’s Spay it Forward and make a difference—one pet at a time.

📞 Contact Humansdorp Vet Clinic to book your pet’s sterilisation.
