🫀 Heartworm Awareness 🐾

Heartworm disease is a serious condition that can lead to lung disease, heart failure, and even death in pets, especially dogs 🐶

It is caused by a parasitic worm (Dirofilaria immitis) and is spread through mosquito bites 🦟

The worms live in the heart, lungs, and blood vessels of infected animals, where they grow and reproduce.

🤍 Early prevention and regular check-ups are key to keeping your pet safe.

🌡️ Heatwave Alert, Keep Your Pets Safe

With the current heatwave, our pets are at higher risk of heatstroke and dehydration.

Please remember to:
🐾 Provide plenty of fresh, cool water
🐾 Ensure your pets have shade or a cool resting place
🐾 Avoid walking during the hottest parts of the day
🐾 Never leave pets in parked cars

If your pet shows signs of excessive panting, weakness, vomiting, or drooling, please contact your vet immediately.

Let’s keep our furry friends safe, cool, and comfortable during this hot weather. ☀️🐶🐱
