🚨 HELP NEEDED FOR THIS WEEKEND’S FERAL CAT SPAY CAMPAIGN 🚨

We are urgently looking for old towels and blankets to help keep our feral cats warm and comfortable during recovery after sterilisation this weekend. 🐾

Every towel and blanket makes a huge difference — especially for cats waking up from surgery and needing a safe, warm place to rest before being released back to their colonies.

If you have any old:
🧺 Towels
🛏️ Blankets
🐱 Bedding or fleece throws

that you no longer use, please consider donating them to Alley Cat Initiative.

Sterilisation remains one of the most important ways we can humanely control feral cat populations while also preventing hybridisation with our precious African Wild Cats. ❤️

Thank you for supporting our feral cats and helping us continue this important work! 🙏🐾

🐾✂️ HELP US FIND THE ONES WE MISSED ✂️🐾

Thanks to the incredible support from our community, Hoedspruit Alley Cats has worked tirelessly over the years to help keep Hoedspruit’s feral cat population under control through sterilisation. Countless cats have been trapped, sterilised, treated, and returned safely — preventing thousands of unwanted kittens from being born into hardship and helping to prevent hybridisation with the African Wild Cat, which remains one of our main goals. 🖤

But we know there are still some out there who may have slipped through the cracks.

That’s why we’re once again on the hunt for any feral cats that still need “the snip.” 🐱✂️

If you have feral cats living:
🏡 Around your home
🚜 On your farm
🏢 At your workplace
🍽️ Near restaurants, shops, or lodges

…please reach out to us.

Sterilisation is the kindest and most effective way to reduce suffering, prevent overpopulation, and improve the lives of feral cats in our community.

Together, we can continue making a difference — one cat at a time. 🖤

📩 Please send us a message if you know of a feral cat colony or unsterilised cats in the Hoedspruit area.

Our spay campaign at Malaga Hotel was an incredible success 🐾

A sincere thank you to Joanne from Harties Feral for organising and coordinating the campaign — your dedication keeps these vital projects moving forward.

We are so grateful to Dr Jamie and Mitchell for all the hard work, long hours, and care you put into helping each and every cat. Your effort on the ground makes a real, lasting difference.

A special thank you to Malaga Hotel for your commitment to caring for your feral cats. Providing support for initiatives like this shows true compassion and responsibility toward the animals in your care.

Spay campaigns like this are so important. They help prevent the cycle of overpopulation, reduce suffering, and improve the overall health and wellbeing of feral cat colonies. By managing numbers humanely, we also lessen the strain on local resources and create a better environment for both animals and the community. We managed to sterilised 20 cats in one night 🙌
Every campaign is a step toward a kinder, more sustainable future for these cats — and it’s only possible because of people who care enough to take action. 💛

We are beyond grateful for the incredible generosity shown to our Alley Cats foster kittens 🐾🩷A massive thank you each and every person who donated towards our adorable kittens 💕

Your donations have made such a meaningful impact—because of you, we’ve been able to stock up on plenty of food and milk to keep our growing kittens well-fed and thriving. This support has ensured that every tiny tummy is full and every kitten gets the nourishment they need during this critical stage.

From all of us (and many happy purrs from the kittens): thank you for being part of their journey 🐱✨
