We would like to inform our valued customers that a price increase on Royal Canin products will come into effect from 2 November 2026.

🐾 Please note: There will be NO price increase on Eukanuba products at this time.

At EberVet , we understand how important quality nutrition is for your pets, and we remain committed to helping you make informed choices when it comes to their health and well-being.

If you regularly purchase Royal Canin products, we encourage you to plan ahead before the new pricing takes effect.

PET OWNERS, PLEASE BE AWARE! YOUR HAIR GROWTH TREATMENT COULD BE DANGEROUS TO YOUR PETS!⚠️

Did you know that Minoxidil, a common ingredient in hair growth and hair loss treatments, could be extremely toxic to cats and dogs, even in very small amounts?

At EberVet Pet Care Group, we want to raise awareness of this potentially life-threatening danger that many pet owners may not know about.

HOW CAN YOUR PET BE EXPOSED?
• Licking your hair, scalp or skin after applying Minoxidil.
• Sleeping on pillows or bedding contaminated with the product.
• Coming into contact with spills, used applicators or contaminated surfaces.
• Licking your hands after you've applied the treatment.

WARNING SIGNS TO LOOK OUT FOR:
• Unusual tiredness or weakness.
• Loss of appetite.
• Vomiting.
• Rapid or abnormal heart rate.
• Difficulty breathing.

Minoxidil poisoning can cause dangerously low blood pressure, serious heart problems and fluid accumulation in the lungs. Cats are particularly sensitive, and exposure can be fatal.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE:
✅ Store all Minoxidil products securely out of reach.
✅ Wash your hands thoroughly after every application.
✅ Keep pets away from treated skin, hair and contaminated bedding.
✅ Clean up spills immediately and dispose of used applicators safely.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: If you suspect your pet has been exposed to Minoxidil, contact your veterinarian immediately, even if your pet is showing no symptoms. Do not wait for signs of poisoning to develop.

We’re extending our weekend trading hours at EberVet Lion’s Square!

To make it a little easier for you to visit us, EberVet Lion’s Square will be trying out extended trading hours on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until the end of October 2026.

🕘 Our temporary trading hours:
Saturday: 09:00–15:00
Sunday & Public Holidays: 09:00–13:00

These extended hours are temporary while we see how they work for our customers, so your support during this trial period means a lot to us.

We’re delighted to welcome a new face to the EberVet Vetshops team!

Meet Megan Moolman, our new Sales Assistant & Nutritional Advisor, who joined us on 1 October and will be working alongside Lee in Bredasdorp.

Megan brings a background in retail, customer service, administration and management, along with a genuine love for helping people and a huge soft spot for animals.

Having recently moved to Napier with her husband, Cobus, and their family, Megan is excited to begin this new chapter with us. At home, she’s also kept on her toes by their rescue cat, Skittyls, who apparently believes he runs the household!

When she’s not at work, you’ll often find Megan on the bowling green as an active member of Napier Bowls Club, where she also gets involved with social media and events. She’s also a self-confessed foodie who loves good food, good company and plenty of laughter.

Megan describes herself as friendly, caring, organised and always keen to learn, and we’re so excited to have her as part of our team.
