We are heading into the month of June with a full rescue and lots of hungry little faces depending on us every single day 🐾❤️

Rescue never slows down, and with so many animals in our care, the basics disappear faster than we can replace them. This is what we urgently need just to get through the month of June:

Our 4 bottle baby Boerbul crosses have officially decided that puppy milk alone is no longer acceptable service around here. 🍼👑

Apparently they are now distinguished little food critics and have DEMANDED puppy mousse mixed with their milk and served on a plate like the royalty they believe they are. 😭😂

And boy oh boy… they are LOVING it!!
Tiny tails wagging, little faces covered in food and the happiest puppy grunts you’ve ever heard ❤️🐾

The problem?
We only had 4 tins of mousse… and these chunky babies eat every 2 hours! At the rate they’re going, we definitely won’t have enough to get through the day. 😅

Please help us keep these demanding babies happy before they stage a tiny fluffy uprising against us.

These flasks are going to make such a huge difference for our bottle babies by helping keep puppy milk and kitten milk warm during the night, making feeds so much faster and easier!

And another massive thank you for the overnight delivery of medication! Every single time we place an order, our medicine arrives the very next day. That kind of service and support means the world to us and the animals in our care.

A massive THANK YOU to BarkingMad SA and Montego Pet Nutrition for this absolutely incredible food donation!! ❤️🐾

For the last two months we have been struggling to make sure there is enough food for all the dogs in our care, and the stress of trying to keep bowls full has been overwhelming at times.

This donation means more than words can explain. It gives our dogs full tummies, comfort, and gives us one less thing to worry about while we continue helping animals in need.

We are beyond grateful for your kindness, generosity, and support. Thank you for standing with us and helping us continue our work for the animals who depend on us every single day. ☺️

This morning I received a message about puppies needing help…
The photo showed nothing more than tiny brown blobs huddled together in a box with nowhere safe to go. 💔

Then came the words that shattered me completely…
These puppies were going to be thrown into a fire.

Thankfully, one kind-hearted woman could not stand by and let that happen. She stepped in and saved their lives. ❤️

These 4 precious babies are now safe in the care of Paws and Purrs Rescue, and we have officially become a full neonatal ward once again.

My bedroom currently has:
🐾 7 kittens
🐾 2 puppies in one container
🐾 4 puppies in another container

The puppies rescued this morning are around 2 weeks old — their eyes and ears are now open, and they are starting to become aware of the world around them. A world that almost never got the chance to exist for them.

For now they will need puppy milk, constant warmth, feeding every few hours, cleaning, stimulation, and around-the-clock care. In about a week we will begin the weaning process too.

But with two separate neonatal puppy litters, everything has doubled… bottles, formula, bedding, cleaning supplies, electricity, hot water bottles, and laundry.
Our hygiene protocols also have to become even stricter because we cannot risk transferring illnesses between the neonatal puppies, kittens, or our older rescue puppies.

We are exhausted… but so grateful these babies are alive. ❤️
