🐾 Cintsa Community Dog Project

Our mission is to sterilise dogs in the Cintsa township and care for them responsibly.

Each sterilised dog becomes a registered Cintsa Dog Member, with the dog and owner recorded so we can track who has been helped.

We provide:
• 🦴 Daily feeding (250g per dog)
• ♻️ Weekly bin bags to keep the village clean and plastic out of the sea
• 🏠 A small fenced safe space with kennels for injured or distressed member dogs

If businesses donate R1000 per month, we can sterilise 6 dogs monthly and continue daily feeding.

Chintsa Animals in Need (Cintsa Dogs) is a registered NPC and issues Section 18A certificates, allowing South African individuals and companies to deduct donations (up to 10% of taxable income).

Chintsa Dogs🐾 A Loving Home Needed for Two Tiny Fighters 🐾

On one of the hottest days, while we were out filling water bowls for the dogs, we were told about a mother cat that had sadly passed away — leaving behind her tiny litter of kittens. 💔

After being without their mom for four days, the babies were completely dehydrated and weak. Thanks to a kind woman named Manuela, who rescues kittens, we managed to save two of them. Sadly, two others didn’t survive.

These two little ones are just two weeks old — fragile, brave, and now slowly growing stronger every day with care and love. 🍼❤️

We are now pleading for a loving home for these two tiny survivors. It would be wonderful if they could stay together — they’ve already lost so much, and they comfort each other.

If you can offer them a safe, warm, and loving space, please contact Chintsa Dogs. Together, we can give them the second chance they so deserve.

✨ Lightning’s Update ✨
It’s been a week since Lightning was hit by a car. She is such a brave girl and will need to go for a weekly check-up every week for the next six weeks. Each visit means a trip to the vet and of course, there are ongoing veterinary costs.

But what shines through is that Lightning is truly loved. 💛 Thanks to the kindness of our community, she’s getting the care she needs. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has already donated towards her recovery — your support and donations make all the difference.

💔 Another Township Dog Hurt – We Need Your Help 💔

“Lightening” a four month old female dog was hit by a car. Without Chintsa Dogs, this poor soul would be left to suffer. We couldn’t turn away, but helping her means dipping into our already limited sterilisation funds.

We were faced with a choice: let her suffer, or step in. Of course, we chose to help. She will need to stay still for six weeks while recovering – a huge responsibility for our small organisation. But no animal should ever be left in pain. 🐾

We do this out of love, but we cannot do it alone. Every vet bill, every recovery bed takes away from our sterilisation efforts – which are vital to breaking the cycle of suffering in the township.

🙏 We are sending out a plea to our community: please help us help her Whether it’s R50, R100, or more, every donation brings relief to this dog and ensures others can still be sterilised and cared for.

Today we added 2 new water stations (7 & 8 so the dogs in the township always have clean water. Every time we arrive, they run to our car — because for many, we are their only hope. 💔

But the need is growing. More dogs = more feeding + more sterilising. We can’t do it alone.

💔🐾 Ozzie’s Story 🐾💔

Chintsa Dogs This is another Ozzie, a township dog we spayed back in 2023 — making her a proud member of Chintsa Dogs. Yesterday she was stabbed and had to be stitched up at the vet. Without our help, Ozzie would have endured days of pain and possibly lost her life to infection.

We cannot always change people’s actions… but together we can protect the innocent animals who depend on us.
