SPIROCERCA AWARENESS

We’ve seen 2 cases of spirocerca in just one month. 💔
Spirocerca is a serious parasite that can affect your dog’s health. The best way to protect them? Monthly deworming.

Deworming options:
●Milpro
●Milbemax
●Advantage
●Nexgard Spectra

Some information:

Spirocerca – a small worm that can cause a big problem

Spirocerca lupi is a parasite seen in dogs that forms nodules or masses, most commonly in the oesophagus. Dogs may show vomiting or regurgitation, difficulty swallowing, excessive salivation, weight loss or coughing, although some dogs have very subtle signs initially.

Fortunately, early diagnosis and appropriate antiparasitic treatment can make a significant difference. Prevention with an effective monthly parasite product is particularly important in areas where Spirocerca is common. 🐶🩺
