Fresh water is essential to your pet’s health every single day.

Keep an eye on their water intake, especially during warmer weather. A noticeable increase or decrease in drinking can also be worth discussing with your vet.

The occasional scratch is normal, but persistent scratching deserves attention.
Fleas, allergies, mites, skin infections and other conditions can all cause itching. If your pet simply won’t stop scratching, it’s time to investigate the cause.

Heading out on an adventure with your pet? 🐾
A little preparation goes a long way.
Before you leave, remember the essentials: a secure leash, plenty of fresh water, up to date identification and reliable tick and flea protection. Whether it’s a walk around the neighbourhood or a trip away, being prepared helps keep your pet safe and comfortable.

🐾❤️ Happy Vet Nurse Day! ❤️🐾

Today, we celebrate and thank our wonderful veterinary nurses, Sr. Kirstin (right) and Sr. Carlie (left) 🩺🐶🐱

Thank you both for your hard work, dedication, and the love and care you give to every patient that walks through our doors. From comforting nervous pets to helping us through busy days, your role at Evander Animal Clinic is truly invaluable.

Your compassion, patience, and commitment make such a difference, not only to our patients and their owners, but also to our entire team. ❤️

We appreciate everything you do, even the little things that often go unnoticed. Our clinic would not be the same without you!

Thank you, Sr. Kirstin and Sr. Carlie, for being such an important part of the Evander Animal Clinic family! 🐾💕

Just like people, dogs and cats can be affected by seasonal allergens. Itchy skin, excessive scratching, licking, irritated ears or watery eyes may all be signs that something in the environment is bothering your pet.

If symptoms persist or your pet seems uncomfortable, bring them in for an assessment so we can determine the cause and appropriate treatment.

Your cat’s diet plays an important role in their overall health. Whether you’re considering raw, cooked or commercial food, the priority should always be a complete and balanced diet suited to your cat’s individual needs.

Before making the switch, ask your veterinarian for guidance on the safest and most appropriate option.
