๐ Small hearts. A very big difference. ๐พ
Some gestures remind us just how much kindness can come from the youngest members of our community.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Grade 2 learners of Robert Carruthers Primary School for choosing Witbank Veterinary Hospital for their special Grade 2 class project in celebration of Madiba Day. ๐ฟ๐ฆ
The learners collected and donated an incredible assortment of food, treats, toys and other items for the animals in our care โ and we were genuinely touched by the generosity behind it.
What makes this donation particularly special is the lesson it represents. At such a young age, these children are already learning that compassion is something we do: that we can notice a need, choose to care and use what we have to make somebody else's world a little better.
And, in this case, that kindness extends to animals too. โค๏ธ๐พ
To the Grade 2 learners, their teachers and every family who helped make this class project possible: thank you. Thank you for the time, effort and thought that went into every contribution, and for entrusting your donations to our hospital.
We are incredibly honoured to have been chosen.
Nelson Mandela reminded South Africans of the extraordinary power we have to create change through service to others. Seeing that spirit reflected in a group of young children is something truly worth celebrating.
May these little hands continue to grow into big hearts. ๐
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Witbank Veterinary Hospital Team
