We want to ask our international supporters for something very simple.

But that's exactly why we're asking.

Our outstanding vet bill is sitting at **just over R6,000**, and we're asking our supporters to please help us get it cleared. ❤️

Veterinary expenses are one of the biggest challenges of running a rescue.

Our animals don't understand budgets. They don't know when funds are low. And when one of them needs medical care, **we have to make sure they get it.** 🥹

We Are Deeply Saddened 💔
September has barely begun, and already we are facing one of the most difficult months we’ve had in a long time.
We still haven't raised enough to cover our September food bill. 😭
We have had to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel the food order for our community outreach so that we can prioritise the pellets needed for the animals in our care.
And we still haven't raised enough to purchase the grass they need this month. 💔
Yesterday, only R100 came in.
That leaves us R6 500 short of what we need for the food for the rest of the month and grass.
We honestly don't know how we're going to get through this month if September has already started this way. 😔
And it's not only food.
We still have staff salaries, electricity, rubbish removal and all the other costs involved in keeping the rescue running.
Every month, we try our absolute best to make the money stretch. We cut where we can, we postpone what we can, and we prioritise the animals' basic needs first.
But there simply isn't enough coming in right now.
And the hardest part is knowing that when we are struggling just to feed the animals already in our care, we cannot help the next animal who needs us. 💔
We are asking, please, if you can help us with even R20, R50 or R100, it will make a difference.
