Thank you so much to Emily, who came all the way from the other side of Durban yesterday to drop off tins of Husky and warm blankets for the oldies.

The oldies LOVE this food, especially the ones with fewer (or no!) teeth and the blankets are very welcome in today's cooler, rainy weather.

Thank you Emily for loving and supporting senior dogs and thank you to her parents for bringing her for a visit - the oldies LOVED that too!

🐶🌈 Today, 6 September, is National Colour Blind Awareness Day!

Did you know that dogs don’t see the world in black and white, as was commonly believed in the past?

Humans have three types of cones (colour receptors) in their eyes, while dogs have only two.

This means that dogs mainly see shades of blue and yellow, while red and green appear more like brown, grey or muted yellow.

So, when choosing your dog’s next toy, blue or yellow may be easiest for them to spot! 💙💛🐾
