Join us on Sunday the 28th September, between 9am and 12 noon on World Rabies Day, and let's unite against this terrible disease! If your pets are due for their rabies vaccinations bring them to Hillcrest Vets and join in the free rabies vaccination drive thru.

Rabies alert. If you had any contact with this dog or a dog you think may be this dog, get yourself and your animals to Hillcrest Veterinary Hospital tomorrow.

⚠️ Public Health Warning – Rabies Alert ⚠️
A medium-sized black and tan dog was seen on Sunday afternoon running along Shongweni Road, interacting with dogs through fences. It traveled from Oxford Village, past Plantations, and beyond the NU Range Golf Course before being shot early Monday morning.

This dog tested positive for rabies. If you, your family, or pets had any contact with this dog, seek immediate medical and veterinary advice.

Daniel is currently involved in a training course on rabies in Zimbabwe with the Pasteur Institute and involving representatives from six countries. The field activities included a mass vaccination campaign with a simultaneous and parallel dog sterilization programme run by VAWS. Over 900 dogs were presented to get vaccinated.
