This is something that's been on our hearts for a while, and we hope it's received in the spirit it's intended. ❤️
As a small business, we genuinely love being part of our community. We love seeing local events, fundraisers, markets, rescues, and pet initiatives bringing people together, and whenever we can, we want to be involved.
But we'd also love to see a shift in the way we think about sponsorship.
Imagine if supporting a small business started before asking them to sponsor your event.
Maybe it looks like placing an order. Trying their products. Recommending them to a friend. Sharing their work. Becoming part of their community.
Those small acts say, "We believe in what you're building."
When that relationship already exists, sponsorship becomes something really special. It isn't just a request for free products—it's two people or businesses investing in each other's success.
We want to support businesses, organisations, and events that believe in Broth Buddies enough to support us too. That doesn't mean spending hundreds of rands or placing huge orders. Sometimes even a single purchase or a genuine effort to engage with our business speaks volumes.
The reality is that every bag of treats and every bottle of broth represents ingredients, packaging, time, and love. While exposure can absolutely be valuable, small businesses can't continue absorbing those costs on exposure alone.
We truly believe the strongest communities are built on mutual support.
Let's choose to champion the businesses we hope will one day champion us.
Because when support goes both ways, everybody wins. 🧡
Have you ever thought about sponsorship this way? We'd love to hear your thoughts below.
