🚔🐕🦺Metro K9 Handlers Workshp🐕🦺🚔
Last week we proudly hosted our Metro Dog Unit Handlers for a workshop on Primary Canine Health Care to ensure the handlers are prepared to care for their K9 partners in any situation. Dr Mangera demonstrated (with the help of professional demo dog Lacey😎) how to perform routine body checks ✅, bandage wounds🩹, muzzle training 😁, and more! The handlers were then guided through what to do if their dog was bitten by a venomous snake and the identification of common venomous snakes in Durban🐍.
We are lucky to have amazing clients who brought their dogs along for the day so handlers could practice what they learned. Each handler was given a K9 First Aid Kit, Hills I/D can and a poster of Common Snakes of Durban to keep in their cars in case of emergencies.
