The goal matters. But never more than the horse you're asking to get you there.

Talana museum needs support and financial assistance. Any donations would be very useful.
We have also recently been donated an entire blacksmith and wheelwright collection by Mr Singh from Glencoe. It is a remarkable collection with an Incredible story. Once again we are going to need support to create the display area, move all the equipment and set up the "shop" with the advice and support grom Mr Singh and photos of him working in the original shop. The exhibit will tell his family's story and the role of wheelwrights on our local history.

Rope has its own riddles,
its own language, its own lore—
secrets hidden in the twists
for those bold enough to explore.

I’ve never cared much for riddles,
but I admire the hands that know
how a single strand can turn to art,
with patience, tension, pull, and flow.

For knots are not easy.
They demand more than strength—
a steady hand, a watchful eye,
and respect for every length.

One wrong turn, one careless pull,
and what was simple becomes a snare.
It’s easy enough to get yourself
into a knot when you’re unaware.

But there is something beautiful
in learning how the rope behaves—
to understand its hidden riddles
and master the knots it saves.

Perhaps that is the lesson of rope:
not every secret needs to be told.
Some are earned by working your hands,
by staying patient, stubborn, and bold
