Mason apparently has been homed but

Only two of the dogs removed by the SPCA in August have survived. has a home pending subject to home check, but who was posted on the adoption page on 22 Oct is still desperately needing a home.
If you are able to open your heart and home to this beautiful girl, please don’t hesitate to apply to offer her the home so so desperately deserves right now.

We need your help please 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
On 14 August fire broke out in the main house at the shelter. Andre’s room was the worst affected, and he has been sleeping in this room with fire damage since then.
Three days later, dam burst its bank and flooded the shelter & surrounding area with knee deep water gushing through the area. The next day the SPCA came to the shelter & then were back four days later with a seize order.
Andre is in his early 70s, with severe chest issues, who has dedicated his life to the animals. He lost all his personal possessions in the fire as well as his beloved Lucy, and then dear little Rouge a week later.
Emphasis was put on saving the dogs and all focus on repairing Andre’s room was lost in the ensuing mayhem.
We are urgently appealing for help to repair the structure of the house… primary need is seven (7) rafters 113cm x 34cm x 6m and eight (8) beams : 70cm by 45cm x 6m.

Funding is virtually non existence right now and contrary to media reports, funding has not been misused since the new team stepped not long before the fire.

Mika, fondly known as Pirate, is needing urgent surgery. She has a lump that has been growing rapidly that needs to be removed. Village Vet Atlantis has quoted R3-4000, if no complications… and as you all know, our funding is non-existant since the media attack on our shelter.. 😢
Village Vet does not allow donors to pay directly to them (you’re welcome to call them to confirm this), so we’re begging for funding to help this little girl to be paid into our acoount.
We can only help them with your support 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
She’s an absolute bundle of energy and the sweetest girl, only about 5 years old, and really needs this surgery done asap.
(This lump was not evident when the dogs were examined by the vet recently).

It’s that time of the month again… we’re really needing your help to get through the month…
To say it’s been rough is an understatement! But we have one priority- and that is the well-being and future of the animals in our shelter.

Most importantly, our dogs need to be fed… they’re all beautiful healthy dogs who have been through so much trauma the past two months.. the least we can do for them right now is keep their bellies full 🙏🏼

We are so happy to advise that we’ve sourced two great options for food purchases.
D2D and Technopet offer great specials on pellets and will deliver to our collection points in Durbanville & Milnerton. We are so grateful for their assistance 🙏🏼

Please also consider donating towards our much needed funds for running costs & wages (our staff have been hard hit by the recent floods) … and the exhoribant vet bill we recently incurred is still needed to be settled, along with ongoing costs … we’re also needing rafters to rebuild the rooms that were damaged in the fire - this has affected Andre’s room and our storage space… (details of beams in the attached photos)

Since the SPCA’s visit and video, our donors have pretty much all withdrawn.😢
Back to square one- we are desperately needing food to feed the remaining 70+ dogs at the shelter / wet, dry and raw bonemeal etc
