PHOTOGRAPHERS NEEDED

We’re seeking caring volunteers to visit our cat shelter in Centurion at least once a month to take clear, natural photos of our cats and kittens. No fancy filters or artistic shots, just simple, bright pictures that truly showcase their personalities for adoption posts.

If you love cats and have a camera or smartphone, your help can make a big difference in finding these sweet souls their forever homes.

This boy is the easygoing charmer of the group. He loves jumping onto his foster mom’s lap to “attack” her laptop mouse before curling up for the coziest lap-time naps. Max is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly!

🐱 Little Tess, Saint Theresa
Tess is a warm, sweet little girl who balances her energy beautifully. She’ll rough and tumble with her siblings, then melt into your lap for tummy rubs and chin scratches, as if she never caused a moment of mischief. Who could resist that?

🐱 Izzy, Saint Elizabeth
Confident and super loving, Izzy is the curious explorer of the litter. She’s always the first to investigate new things, and once she’s done, she’ll happily snuggle up for belly scratches and love from her foster family.

Adopters who are away during the weekdays must have a companion cat for any single kitten adopted.

An approved application and home check are a part of the adoption process. An adoption fee of R1250 applies. This fee covers their vet care expenses, including initial and booster vaccinations, rabies shots, deflea and deworming treatments, FIV and FeLV tests, microchip, and sterilization.

NEW INTAKE: 44TH KITTEN: QUINTUS

This sweet, feral little boy came to us from a feral feeder, Monique, who noticed a new, lone arrival at Centurion Mall. Little Quintus had a severe right front leg limp and was trapped, so he came into our care.

It was initially difficult to deal with a feral kitten who bit our vet when he tried to examine the leg. Under sedation, it was discovered that the elbow was severely broken. He must have broken it when he was much younger, and the break had set at odd angles. Sadly, his leg could not be saved.

The first night back from the vet, Quintus was distraught and confused at not being able to stand up. The fear in his eyes was so intense that I took him home to spend the night in my bedroom to reassure him that everything was going to be alright.

In just that one night, Quintus completely tamed up, knowing he could trust me.

Our rescue efforts for those injured or ill souls, like Quintus, who had no chance of survival on the streets, are costly in veterinary expenses. Yet these innocent, forgotten ferals in our society deserve medical care as much as any tame kitten or cat does.

Your support changes their world for the better. Quintus is our 44th kitten given safe haven this year. Welcome home, Quintus.

Dixon is the last kitten of his litter not yet adopted. He is trusting and quite the darling, demanding attention and cuddles.

Typical of a strong-willed ginger, he is curious, smart, adventurous, and loves unrolling entire toilet rolls and rearranging his beds and blankets.
