Meet Buddy! 🐼

Buddy is ready to be reserved! All his siblings have already been chosen, and unfortunately, his booking fell through.
Fuzzy Buddy is adorable in every way. He is a goofy little gumdrop who loves everyone! He is very social and has had a great upbringing, with his mommy and littermates by his side.
He will make the perfect best friend and addition to any household! ❤️

Apply to adopt Buddy now, and he can leave his little nest once he is old enough. 🏡 (link in bio)

Before we even got the chance to introduce Rex, we lost him.❤️‍🩹

A kind person alerted an animal welfare org after witnessing kittens being thrown around. An inspector was able to bring Rex to safety and he was then placed in our care.
After less than 24 hours with us, Rex began showing signs that he was succumbing to the injuries and trauma he had suffered as a result of this terrible act. Despite our efforts, we lost him.
He deserved so much more.

RIP, little T-Rex. You were loved. 💕🌈

Meet Maggie, our first special-needs bottle baby… puppy!🐶 🍼

(⚠️Warning: graphic photo on the second-to-last slide!)

Maggie entered the world with a body that let her down, much like many French Bulldogs.
She had life-saving surgery on the day she was born to put her intestines back into her tiny body. Sadly, this was just the start of her issues. Maggie also has a fontanelle (basically a hole in her skull), which will hopefully close over time. She was unable to nurse because she has a severe cleft palate, so she has to be tube-fed.

Of course, we will only fight for Maggie if she wants to fight, and she certainly has so far. Her big surgical scar has started to heal, and we just hope it continues to do so with careful monitoring and disinfection. We are not out of the woods there just yet.

The next most important thing we need to assist Maggie with will be cleft palate surgery, which would hopefully allow her to eat normally. This is still not guaranteed, and we are doing a lot of research alongside our vet to make sure we find a specialist who can confidently perform the surgery.

She has a long road ahead, and this is not even counting the many, many issues that French Bulldogs can face in their lives. Some common issues they experience are shown on our last slide. We urge everyone to educate themselves about the realities of irresponsible breeding and the health problems it can create.

Cats are masters at hiding pain. 🐱🩹
Learning to recognise their subtle pain signals is an essential skill for every cat guardian.

The Feline Grimace Scale (FGS) is a validated tool for assessing acute pain in cats by looking at five facial action units.
Each action unit is scored from 0–2, giving a total score out of 10.
A score of 4 or above is the recommended cut-off for contacting your veterinarian for further assessment.

Familiarise yourself with the Feline Grimace Scale so you can recognise when something may be wrong, because the earlier pain is noticed, the sooner your cat can get the care they need.

Introducing Stitch! 🎀

Stitch is the sweetest little girl. She has a congenital issue with her hind leg that causes it to stay straight, like a pencil. While she still plays like a normal kitty, her leg definitely gets in the way, and our vet has indicated that it may cause issues as she gets older.

Depending on our vet’s guidance, we may need to amputate the leg when she is a little older, allowing her to live a very happy life as a tripod cat! 🐾
