Brilliant news xx
Poland has started using thermal drones to find and rescue dogs that have been chained outside and abandoned by their owners during brutal winter nights. ππβοΈ
Animal welfare organisations partnered with local authorities to launch overnight drone patrols in rural areas, using heat detection cameras to locate animals left outside in freezing conditions. Dogs found chained or abandoned are removed and taken to shelters. Owners can face criminal charges.
Poland winters regularly drop below minus 20 degrees Celsius. The drones have already located dozens of animals that would not have survived the night.
