An appeal from our friends at The WOW Project - let’s help Dobby! 💚

“In just 10 days , Dobby will lose the place she currently calls home, and we still haven't found her family.

We've shared, posted and asked before, but today I'm asking something different:

Please don't just repost this. Send it directly to people. Share it in running clubs, hiking groups, neighbourhood chats, community pages, farm and smallholding groups, equestrian communities, and with anyone you know who has a large property and loves dogs.

Dobby isn't looking for perfection. She's looking for someone to give her a chance.

After everything this incredible girl has survived, she deserves a sofa, a garden, daily adventures and people who love her.

Please help us find them before it's too late. ❤️

Sometimes it isn't the number of shares that matters. It's one person seeing the post at the right time. Let's help Dobby find that person.

45 More Animals Given a Better Chance 🐾♥️

On Friday, we sterilised, vaccinated and microchipped another 45 animals from Lavender Hill and Cafda Village at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA - bringing our total to 82 animals treated during this campaign.

And there’s more good news: we still have funding for another 48 animals. ♥️

This campaign has been made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, whose R1.2 million donation to the Cape Animal Welfare Forum provided funding to beneficiaries including Paws-a-While and Aid 4 Animals in Distress.

A huge thank you once again to Lionel's Choice Holistic Pet Nutrition for sponsoring a bag of pet food for every pet treated. 🐾

And thank you to our supporters, whose generosity meant we could ensure that every animal received treatment for ticks, fleas and worms too.

82 animals sterilised. 48 more funded. And 48 more opportunities to make a lasting difference in the lives of pets and their families. 🐾♥️

Life is better with a big dog in it.

Not necessarily quieter.
Not necessarily tidier.
And definitely not with more space on the couch.

But better.

Majestic Boerboel Rescue has some seriously special dogs waiting for their people - Bear, Bruno, Duke, Seun & Luca and Nala.

These aren’t tiny, convenient little sidekicks. They’re big personalities in very large bodies. The kind of dogs who make an entrance, take up space, demand a spot on the couch and somehow still convince you that you are the lucky one.

And they’re all different.

Some need to be your only dog.
Some need an experienced owner.
Some love children.
Some want adventure.
Some would happily spend the day following you from room to room.

So before you swipe past because “I could never have a dog that size”… Maybe take another look. 👀

Because somewhere between the slobber and the enormous paws, there might be your dog.

20 Pit Bulls. 20 completely different personalities. One thing in common: they’re still waiting. 🐾

There’s a strange thing that happens with Pit Bulls - people often make up their minds about them before they’ve even met them.

But spend time with one and you’ll quickly discover there isn’t a single “Pit Bull personality”.

Some are absolute clowns. Some are couch potatoes. Some are busy, bouncy and full of beans. Some are affectionate shadows who want to be wherever their person is. And some are wonderfully independent characters with opinions of their own.

What many of them do have in common is that they’re people-focused dogs who can form incredibly strong bonds with their humans. They’re also powerful dogs - so responsible ownership, training, boundaries and commitment matter.

These Pit Pals pits are ready for the next chapter.

Not every one will be right for every home - but one of them might be exactly right for yours. ♥️

International Homeless Animals’ Day 🐾♥️

Today, we’re shining a light on some of the many animals who are still waiting for a place to call home.

Different faces. Different stories. Different personalities.
But they all have one thing in common: they deserve a family.

These beautiful animals are currently in the care of our partner organisations, patiently waiting for someone to see them, choose them and give them the life they deserve.

🏠 Maybe one of them is your next best friend.
🐾 Maybe you can’t adopt, but you can share their story.
❤️ Maybe you can foster, donate or help someone else adopt.

Day 1 is DONE! 🐾♥️

What a day! Our first day of the sterilisation campaign with Aid 4 Animals In Distress and Cape of Good Hope SPCA is officially complete, and we’re so grateful to everyone who made it possible.

A huge thank you to Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, whose Mayoral Fund generously donated R1.2 million to the Cape Animal Welfare Forum (CAWF). We are incredibly grateful to be one of the beneficiaries of this vital funding, helping make more sterilisation procedures possible for animals who need them most. 🙏🏼

And of course, a massive thank you to the legendary Dr Rivona for doing what she does best at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA - helping prevent unwanted litters and giving animals a healthier, happier future. 🐶🐱

Another huge thank you to Lionel's Choice Holistic Pet Nutrition for once again generously donating a bag of nutritional pet food to help with our steri patients recovery ❤️‍🩹

Meet some of the beautiful faces waiting for their forever homes at FAW Fisantekraal Animal Welfare 🐾♥️

These dogs have so much love to give - they just need someone to give them the chance.

🐶 Mia & Ella - a bonded pair who have grown up together and need to find a home where they can stay side by side. Born November 2023.

🐶 Bella - born July 2023 and patiently waiting for someone to see what a wonderful companion she could be.

🐶 Lora - a young girl born September 2025, full of potential and ready to start her life with a family of her own.

🐶 Sassy - a sweet young female, born November/December 2025, who still has her whole life ahead of her.

Every one of them deserves more than a kennel. They deserve a home, a family and a forever. 🏡❤️
