🐶🏆 Best Brak, Best Bum Wiggle & a whole lot of doggos proving that rescues are the BEST! 🐾

Our World Animal Day Rescue Dog Show was packed with wagging tails, treat-catching talent and some seriously impressive tricksters! 🐾♥️

From Best Brak and Best Treat Catcher to Best Trickster, Best Bum Wiggle, Best Ears, Best Lapdog, Best Golden Oldie and Judge’s Favourite - our rescue stars brought their A-game! 🌟🐕 Every dog had their moment in the spotlight, and every single one was a winner in our eyes. 🏆

A huge thank you to Lionel’s Choice for sponsoring our Rescue Dog Show and helping us celebrate the wonderful, quirky characters that rescue dogs are! 🐾

And a special shout-out to the amazing SouthPaw Media for capturing all the fun, love and four-legged fabulousness in this video! 🎥♥️

Because rescue dogs don’t need pedigrees to be extraordinary. They just need a chance to shine! ✨🐶

🧘‍♀️🐾 Downward Dog for Dogs! 🐕💚

Stretching, smiling and celebrating the bond we share with our four-legged friends! 🐶✨

Downward Dogs for Dogs yoga session at Paws-a-While’s World Animal Day celebration was the perfect reminder that animal welfare is about connection, compassion and creating a kinder world for every creature. 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who rolled out their mats, embraced the zen and supported animal welfare with us!

♥️ Good Things Guy ♥️

A very special thank you to the incredible Brigitte Reeve Taylor and Dancers Love Dogs SA for supporting Paws-a-While and our mission to make a real difference in communities where the need is greatest. 🐾♥️

Brigitte not only joined us as a judge for our Rescue Dog Show at World Animal Day, but Dancers Love Dogs have gone above and beyond by donating an incredible R20,000 towards our ongoing sterilisation drive in Lavender Hill! 🙏🏼♥️

This contribution will help us get even more animals sterilised, preventing unwanted litters and helping to break the cycle of pet overpopulation in communities where resources are limited.

And if you’d like to support this incredible cause even further, book your tickets for the Dancers Love Dogs event on 3 November at the Artscape Opera House! 🩰🐶

Because with Dancers Love Dogs:

ONE SEAT = ONE STERILISATION. ♥️

What an incredible way to enjoy an evening of beautiful dance while helping change the lives of animals who need us most.

Thank you, Brigitte and Dancers Love Dogs, for standing with us. We are so incredibly grateful. 🐾

A huge and heartfelt thank you to Mars South Africa Petcare - Whiskas South Africa, Pedigree South Africa and Dreamies South Africa - for supporting Paws-a-While’s World Animal Day event for the FOURTH year in a row! 🐾♥️

Four years of showing up for animals, supporting our community and helping us create an event that brings animal welfare organisations, pet lovers and the public together. We truly couldn’t do it without partners who believe in the work we do.

Your continued support helps us keep raising awareness, creating opportunities for rescues and welfare organisations, and most importantly, raising funds for our ongoing sterilisation drives in under-resourced communities.

We are incredibly grateful for this long-standing partnership and for the trust Mars Petcare continues to place in Paws-a-While.

Thank you Whiskas, Pedigree and Dreamies for being part of our World Animal Day family once again. Here’s to many more years of making a difference together! 🐶🐱❤️

A very special thank you to the City of Cape Town for standing alongside Paws-a-While and supporting the work we do for animals and the communities who love them. 🐾♥️

A huge thank you to Alderman JP Smith and the incredible Metro Police K9 Unit for joining us and showing such wonderful support for our World Animal Day celebrations. Their presence, passion and commitment to animal welfare meant so much to us - and to everyone who attended. 🐕‍🦺💙

We’d also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the City’s Parks & Recreation Department for sponsoring our beautiful venue and helping us create a space where our community could come together to celebrate animals, raise awareness and support a greater cause.

And to Councillor Nicola Jowell - Ward 54 - thank you, as always, for your constant support and encouragement.

Partnerships like these make a real difference. When government, organisations and communities come together, we can create meaningful change for animals - and for the people who care for them.

Thank you for being part of our PAW family. 🐾♥️
