As the storm rolls in, please don’t leave your animals outside. 🌧️⛈️

Heavy rain, strong winds, thunder and flooding can be terrifying - and dangerous - for pets and stray animals alike. Bring your pets inside, make sure they have a warm, safe space, and check that they are secure and identifiable in case they panic and escape.

If you see an animal lost, injured, or in distress during the storm, please contact your local animal welfare organisation for assistance. One call could save a life. 🐾

What started as a small idea has grown into a community of people who truly care - about animals, about responsible pet ownership, and about making a difference where it matters most.

To everyone who has supported us along the way - thank you. Every share, every donation, every foster, every kind word has helped change lives.

This morning’s visit was to the Animal Welfare Society of SA 💙

Walking in, you’re met with happy dogs, wagging tails, peaceful hospital patients, and a team of people who genuinely love what they do.

AWS-SA a space filled with care, compassion, and quiet dedication.

Beyond being a busy animal hospital that helps all animals - from dogs and cats to ducks, guinea fowl, and even hamsters - they’re also caring for over 50 beautiful rescue dogs, each one waiting to be chosen for a forever home 🏡

If you’ve been thinking about adding a dog to your family, please consider adoption. And if you’re not in a position to adopt, there are so many other meaningful ways to support the incredible work they do.

Keep them busy with gentle mental stimulation like treat puzzles or enrichment toys to help ease anxiety.
